I just ranted on another topic so I’m out of rant energy, but this breaks my heart. I’m 50 years old, and I grew up seeing racism and homophobia and even misogyny taking hits. Always there, never went away, but we were making progress, dammit.
Then the fucking Tea Party that turned into MAGA allowed them all to come out of the fucking closet again and be proud.
Fuck them all. Fuck this timeline. Fuck everything.
Next will be the mass lynchings.
There have been lynchings occurring in the south that have been swept under the rug since COVID. Probably longer. Too many black men found hanging from a tree ruled a suicide.
I feel pretty confident in saying 0 suicidal black people are thinking “noose from a tree, that’s how I’ll do it.”
we’ve had them here in California too, just not as frequent.
I’m more thinking openly and the Trump administration giving them the same consideration as Megan Goode.
