Americans have dirt cheap gas, it’s one of the reasons they have the giant fuel inefficient trucks and SUVs everywhere. Of course they’re pissed gas has gotten more expensive when their cars eat up 10 liters of gas per 100km.

If gas gets expensive maybe it will make Americans reconsider how much their lives are revolving around cars and help push for more green alternatives and better urban planning.

Won’t that get worse when they have to pay back the tariff money? I assume they don’t just have the money laying around and they are just going to borrow more to pay those.

There’s going to be no real R&D anymore

I mean US scientists are starting to leave the country. The brain drain is only going to get worse.

If he uses nukes it would be a hard line that most countries would be hard pressed to look past. If the US uses nukes in Iran then Russia will definitely use theirs in Ukraine and no European politician wants to be in the way of that fallout (literally and figuratively).

So is the military going to refuse “illegal orders” when he orders them to fire nukes?

Also if he does use nukes against Iran then Russia would definitely start using them against Ukraine. It will become a free for all.
