Direct democracy would be the most resistant form of government to eventual oligarchy. Another possibility could be that the citizens of a democratic society could be limited as to how much wealth they could own.

This is the thing… polls show that Trump is unpopular, so they might not run him for president in '28. (Not because it’s illegal; that doesn’t mean shit to the Republican party.)
