What exactly is the usecase for this? Genuinely curious, as I’ve never needed this sorta functionality.

Also Chrome, Firefox ans Ladybird!

What a douchebag

This looks pretty fucking amazing.

Why use curl when you can use netcat? I love curl but curl is not postman alternative.

How about email? I use ntfy as well but it sounds like email is the right answer for you.
Truely amazing. If only there is an app that won’t completely deain 69% of bayyery in 3 seconds on Android.
Edit: just realized this comes with a dedicated Android app as well! Can’t wait to spin this up this weekend.

what the fuck is this ai slop shit?

unrelated: ever heard of draw.io? excalidraw, even.

Exactly what are you trying to back up? If it’s for something like, let’s say, a password manager, syncing is the worst way imaginable.
But if it’s for your Jellyfin media backup, rsync is pretty sufficient imo. They rarely change, costs pretty penny to back up and (relatively) easy to rebuild.
So it all comes down to what your scenario is.

Linkwarden has pretty minimal hardware requirements - it was tested on a VPS with 4gb of memory and it ran pretty smoothly, the most intense part is when you build the app, but once it’s running it’s relatively lightweight.
From their website. I wouldn’t consider tested on 4gb vps having minimal hardware.
I use Linkding and I am very happy with it. Less feature? Maybe. But it’s a bookmark sync. What do you need?
No sane selfhoster should do this. This is far beyond being overkill.

There is absolutely no way you can avoid GH hosted project completely. It’s like trying to buy a phone without Chinese parts.

Not sure how the new Pi5 is but Pi4 struggles quite a bit with Nextcloud. Nextcloud is not really designed to run on low-end devices, let alone an SBC. It may seem fine for the first time but when you actually try to do something, it’ll get sluggish and oftentimes downright completely fail.
I stopped using my Pi4 for anything file related but I guess there might be something that it can reliably run(I’m guessing Syncthing).

I know. But coming out of the box is nicer.

Rocky Linux. Been using debian but I like firewalld a bit more than ufw, and I don’t trust myself enough to let myself touch iptable.

Not sure what you are trying to say. There’s little point to simply keeping records in a plaintext file, but that’s not what PTA is about.
It’s about using plaintext files that can work with various tools, such as ledger, hledger, or beancount, all capable of generating relevant reports and more, all while being able to edit/automate easily because, well, they’re just text files.
Also, the more automation you do the more you can focus on actual analysing your finances which can help you improve.
I’m sure every other tools like this can handle automation very well but provided that you are capable of writing scripts and stuff, PTA is much more versatile and it can work for you better.

PTA is the way to go.
hledger, especially, is amazing.

If you are concerned about storage price, you should use something like S3 or B2. It’s dirt cheap and it will work with almost anything you are currently using.
Great job. Video handling is always a pita
