Up until that last paragraph at least. Not that I’m for minors getting trans surgeries, but they were never getting those surgeries in the first place until they turn 18. So, the fact that they bothered to make a law about it speaks to the rising transphobia in our government on both sides. So, I personally wouldn’t consider it good news. Everything else was really refreshing to read though

As much as I would love to believe the good in humanity, at this point I’m skeptical that even if 50% of the population started to resist the government that it would do anything. After all, both viable parties are in the pockets of the billionaires that bought our current government. So unless we have a straight up armed uprising, this will mean nothing.

The government is shutdown, people are starving, flights are being cancelled, inflation is being suffocating, and people are being kidnapped at the streets. So obviously, the name of a new football stadium is DEFINITELY what he should be focusing on. Fucking hell

True, though it still makes it harder for my sister to seek asylum when they are cracking down on immigration, no? I didn’t mean to imply that they are equivalent. Of course America is much, much worse.

However, since Canada also seems to be turning right, it’ll more so be a move to delay the inevitable even if she is able to seek asylum. It’d be better than staying here at least, assuming America doesn’t invade Canada for Lebensraum within 4 years.
