I cleaned up when I moved, so the oldest gadget I have right now is a 15 year old MSI laptop, still happily running with linux.

I was fresh out of college so was very susceptible to anyone calling for an interview invite. Got a call from a company I didn’t recognize and I was too innocent to not question how they even got my number. I dressed up and everything, brought my resume, etc. When I arrived, there was a bunch of us and then there was a presentation.
Yep, you guessed it, it was an MLM. It was the mid 2000s, so it wasn’t really well known as an MLM or pyramid scheme at the time. Hell, I couldn’t even understand why I was sitting through a presentation and not doing an interview. I realized it wasn’t a job when they started asking for money to commit. Barely 20 me still didn’t realize it’s a scam, but fortunately I literally had no money so couldn’t offer anything either way lol. After a lot of prodding, they finally let me go if I wrote down the names and number of 5 people I know. Then I realized that’s how they got my number. Someone in my circle went through the same thing and gave my contact info away.
I noticed I’ve been using “for sure” on in-person conversations often. Not on chats and comments for some reason though.

What your excited about and what your struggling with at the moment.4·12 days agoCurrently in a rut with recording new music. I have a collab with a guitarist friend and we have 9 unfinished songs that have been sitting for almost a year now. Home ownership really did a number on my music-making time. There’s just always something to do or something to fix that I can’t find the time to dedicate a couple of uninterrupted hours to record music. Compare that to 3-4 years ago where I was able to release 2 albums and 2 EPs in a span of 3 years.
On the other hand, I’m looking forward to acquiring my own 8-string guitar soon so I no longer need to rely on collabs to get guitars on my music. I’m primarily a keyboardist and I make prog/industrial music.

I don’t think taller trucks make you less exhausted. It boils down to how comfy the seats are. And cars and smaller SUVs typically have more comfy seats, unless you have a newer truck that boasts a car-like ride and comfort.
As for tips: Check out some videos on how to properly adjust your driving position. Get something for lumbar support if your car doesn’t have it. And take breaks, don’t force yourself to drive all the way in one go.

Most instances say where they are based in their instance description. If not, you can do a whois lookup to see the general area they are in. Another option is asking in the meta community of the instance.

Similar to the second point above, most instance owners are transparent with their infrastructure and the ones who are running small servers as hobby projects usually put it as a disclaimer.
