as someone who is doing some kind of science - titles are a lot more fancier and designd for absurdity. Often, the decision to perform something is a lot more logical than dciding random animals to test from. for example, some of the people from their group may already have been studying that specific frog line for some reason (maybe for it’s gut only), for example, they may have observed that these frogs live a long life or something, then they decided to find why is that, and may hav ecome to conclusion that it is this gut bacterium. or maybe they may hav eknown of this bacterium, and found out where they could source more of this.

but sometimes, it is totally random luck, lik you accidentally messed up experiement, and spilled some unrelated gut juice from a frog from a separate experiment, and it just so have happened to worked, so you now studied it closely.

I have absolutely no idea what may have happened in this one, and i am not a biologist, so do not know what is the usual way, but it is usually among these.

i did not expect that, that is like actually translucent. My guess is this is some textile engineering to hold air across surface to reduce skin friction, but i do not think that adding a base non transparent layer will hurt that much (probably just weight). thank you

honestly, i would have exppected all black to be better, since i theory it will reduce contrast and shadow lines, but yeah i guess outer curves would still be visible

getting to main topic - it is not a uplifting news from the title - but from the part - she became the first to sccore in shorts, which to my non sports term understanding ass sounds like skorts (or whatever those skin hugging clothing for respective sport is called) bad and shorts good, is uplifting. So definitely leave it up.

I watch cricket a lot (a bat and ball sport) - and you basically wear what you want - full/half sleaves, sweater or jacket or cap or hat - if it does not hinder your performance it does not matter.

I can see some sports where gear matters - swimming and running sports come to mind where viscous drag from water or air come in effect, and how your gear shapes and how vortex shedding happens and general graglines matter, so like running shoes, it becomes a requirement for performance, but beyond these sports, any clothing should work.

I do know that alot of women sports get viewing purely because a lot men get to see “hot women”, and that is definitely bad.

I am sorry but I am not good with legaleese. tbh, i got the meaning correct in first read only. seemingly, only 1 comma (one before ‘after rescue …’) should fix it, or at least make it better. you could also replace the earlier ‘after plunging’ with who plunged/fell and that will also (arguably) improve readablity.

that is a good point. I partially touched on it in my comment, but one of the thing happenning is they are clearing forest in one of our tropical islands, and “reflacing equivalent land” in a temprate only partially forested land. think after giving a full stab wound and adding a temporary bandage on to it. EVen if I believe your planting efforts puts in equal trees, you uprooted a tropical forest with rich flora and fauna, with a place which has no wildlife other than a few monkeys and some other common animals

While I am very happy with this, I would like to add some context for India specifically.

To put it briefly, our current govt is not climate friendly, and I can say this without further reading, but our forest land has not increased, what has been done is clever redefinition of word forest itself.

Primarily, what would you consider to be true forest is given to big empires in name of development, and as a “eco tax” money is taken for planting elsewhere (which may have completely different bio-geography).

secondly, what would you define as sparse, or less dense forest, or just call them grasslands is also being labeled as forests now. this is done by lowering the required amount of trees per unit area in definition. essentially clever accounting.

Now, if the numbers are by some independent organisation, using satellite data or something, I would trust it and be happy, but if it is aggregating what the nations tell, then I do not trust it.

As I understand, It is just a general old people people mindset. Most old folk consider all lgbt stuff to primarily have “dirty” or “impure” thoughts (they essentially look at this not from as an identity part, but more of them being just “pervy”)(this as i understand is the general conservative idealogy - sex is taboo, but having “kids” is natural, you can have both). Not saying this justifies snoop dog’s behaviour. I am not a fan or a hater, just do not know much about them, just explains how could they do that and then this. to them, all lgbt stuff is “not for kids” and completely look over the identity aspect of it.

His “support” is most likely a simple paid collaboration arranged by their team, and he does not care what it is about.

Why imo it is still uplifting is because there is some event organised for lgbt folk, and that is always a good in my book. it helps normalise them.

I do not know much about them, but regardless of affiliations with trump, if they are famous, and they support lgbt folk, that is a good in my eye.
