I’ve been thinking it’s a combination of the opinion solidifying nature of social media, going through the “me too” movement, and exposure to a US administration completely bereft of morality, ethics, or intelligence that highlights the worst of our society. At least for younger people. Gen Z is the worst about things like requiring permission just to touch someone or getting bent out of shape if someone says the wrong thing. It’s got to be this environment that created this reaction.
