The school shootings changed the views of many people in this country on gun control. But changing minds is not my end goal; and it shouldn’t be others goal either. Changing minds is meaningless if there is no systemic change. We can all believe that climate change is caused by humans burning fossil fuels and that it will destroy our world as we know it. But if nothing is done to prevent it the prominence of that idea is meaningless. Numbing to a degree in that “every government knows it’s a problem. Surely something will be done”

I think the American society is sick. We accept our children being gunned down. We accept our government funding and defending a genocide in Gaza. We accept that our politicians and the wealthy were all friends with a pedophile that invited them to rape children. We will accept ICE being Nazis.

We have been entirely conditioned to accept everything until it reaches our doors personally. I guess I should replace “we accept our children” with “we accept others children” in that last paragraph. Because that’s truly how selfish our society is. There is no “we” in America.

I don’t know what it will take for Americans to stop going to work and destroy this entire system. I really don’t. I think our society is is one of the most unhealthy in human history. To the degree that viewing coverage of violent actions of our government becomes numbing. It has been a way for those upset to feel as though they are doing something simply by knowing about it.

It’s half true. Yes, technically Greenland is a part of Europe. And yes, Europeans are white people. But, most of the people in Greenland are indigenous and not white. So, really, stealing land and resources from nonwhite people is EXACTLY what the US military has been trained to do. So, I think they’ll be well prepared for it.

To be clear, I don’t think the elections (if they happen) will change anything. BUT, I can tell you a lot of liberals that would otherwise be radicalized are holding onto this idea that “democracy will save us”. They will not be able to see reality until that hope comes crashing down. And even then many will still be in denial.

Why do people keep trying to “fix” a democracy who’s main problem is capitalism. Just to avoid that as the problem?

(1) Give citizens the confidence that the state police have been directed to enforce state laws that ICE breaks. ICE coming to peoples doors without warrants signed by a judge are TRESPASSING according to state law. Tell them that the police have direct to enforce state law.

(2) If police are refusing to enforce state law and trespass ICE. Fire them.

No, he’s the governor. He has the political power to do this. You are fundamentally misunderstanding the direct powers vs. political powers. He has the political power to do this.

The major appoints the police chief. Walz has political power and influence over the mayor of Minneapolis. The major has political power to remove the police chief and replace them with someone that WILL fire officers.

Yes, this takes people in the state actually working together to enforce the law. Yes, the governor does not have power alone. But this is how politics works man.

The “rules” I’m referring to are about breaking this established order that I’m referring to. Breaking those rules means actually pressuring (or in some cases removing) people in their positions that refuse to defend the citizens of the state. Breaking the rules means using the state power to defend citizens against the federal invasion.

But Walz isn’t even doing that. He’s not messaging in a way that brings the power of the citizens to his side. He is not being “strategic” he is being a pushover. He’s rolling over and showing his belly.

If he was smart (or cared) he’d already be messaging to the people that “the police WILL ensure ICE is arrested if they a breaking the law”. This would light a fire under the asses of the people under him (mayor, police chief) to actually be held accountable for enforcing the law of the state. What ICE is doing is illegal according to state law. If they want a legal battle make it clear that this is a constitutional crisis of state vs. federal powers by actually challenging those federal powers with state and city law enforcement.

If all of that fails. Call in the national guard in the name of the state. Before Trump does.
