Miranda Blair didn’t vote for Donald Trump in 2016 because he scared her.
This week, she was wearing a bright red “Make America Great Again” hat as she waited in sub-freezing temperatures to hear him speak in Manchester, New Hampshire, as he rallied Republican voters to choose him as their nominee.
A lot happened in between to change Ms Blair’s thinking.
“Just a few years ago under Donald Trump, I felt like I could afford groceries and bring my girls skiing, and do all the things we wanted to do,” she said.
The 40-year-old sales manager voted for Barack Obama, a Democrat, in 2008 and found Mr Trump’s lack of political experience disqualifying in 2016. Disliking the options, she didn’t vote that year.
I’m still at a loss to account for how any sentient being can listen to Trump drivel on for more than a minute without wishing for the sweet release of death, let alone actually make the effort to show up at one of his events.
Seriously, hearing him talk for 2 minutes in 2015 I was “wow, what the fuck is wrong with the this guy?”. I can’t fathom how anyone would have ever voted for him for any reason whatsoever, but somehow people come up with explanations.
Strange isn’t it?
I want answers to two questions from anyone wanting my vote:
What are you going to do for me?
How are you going to pay for it?
That’s it. The weird thing is that Trump couldn’t give a fuck about doing anything for me, or anyone else who isn’t already a billionaire or has nice tits and blonde hair.
