i did not know what the word meant, but looked up, and it is essentially no catharsis, and this is something i also proposed in my post asking for help regarding rules for this sub.

Hey, it’s related, but not really the same. Schadenfreude means to take pleasure in another person’s misfortune. E.g. something bad happens to someone I don’t like. I think that almost all political posts I take issue with here fall under that category.
