Set up a NAS [truenas]. Connect it to your home network using LAN.
You can then connect all your hard disks to this NAS.
Set up Tailscale VPN on NAS as well as all devices from which you want to access the files.
Once all devices and NAS are on Tailscale VPN, you can mount the NAS drives using SMB on your devices and use it from anywhere in the world as long as NAS is powered on and has internet access.
