I haven’t smelled it in a while, but I don’t think I remember it smelling rotten. It wasn’t pleasant but also wasn’t really disgusting, it was just odd.

I don’t know what it is, but I can smell a somewhat metallic type smell on some specific people’s breath. It always smells very similar between different people. They generally aren’t very healthy, but no one seems to know what I’m talking about.

It’s not even that it gets shot down, the Republicans decide what even gets a vote when they’re in control as they are. There’s no record to be had, it’s just “I’m bringing up articles of impeachment to a vote” and Johnson says “no you aren’t, fuck your impeachment. No vote will be had.”

I’m not defending cowardice, it’s just a literal impossible task that has no visible outcome at all. There won’t be a record because there won’t be a vote at all.

It’s frustrating, but I get it. As he even pointed out, with full Republican control there’s no way this ever sees the light of day. There’s no reason to pursue something that has literally 0 chance of going anywhere. Hell even my initial thought was “even if they did try, Republicans would just laugh and move on”

I don’t believe CA already has potential districts drawn up, but I believe Texas already does so an overturned ruling would not need much time for Texas to implement their plan while CA would need to actually draw the new districts.

Cool. So CA doesn’t do it, Republicans push this to SCOTUS as they do with literally everything they don’t like, and then they give Texas the go-ahead with a timeframe that’s too short for CA to respond in turn… :/
