Never done it, but I do put them on my deviled eggs. I wouldn’t personally mix it with the egg salad, but it would be a topping of the sandwich. I will for sure be doing this next egg salad batch I make though. I’m not sure why I’ve never tried it nor ever heard it. In the Midwest US.

26·12 days agoGood thing you didn’t generalize an entire population or anything and show your lack of understanding at how easy it is to just assassinate the POTUS. That would look like quite dumb, hateful, and short slighted opinion had you done so.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Stuck between living in America, China, or Japan... Which would you choose?
92·18 days agoWhether the US is the right choice for you probably depends on your skin tone and where you’d be living. If you appear Asian and move to rural Texas, you’re probably gonna have a bad time. If you look Asian but move to somewhere like NYC where there’s more of a melting pot of citizens and currently liberal leadership, it will probably be a better experience.
There is a lot of bad stuff happening here, but it isn’t detrimental (currently) to everyone equally. I personally wouldn’t consider China due to the extreme censorship and heavy handed government, but the US is tracking that way. Japan has its own issues as you mentioned, but I’m not well versed enough to speak on them.
It’s definitely not a clear cut choice and you’ll probably have to eat some shit regardless of your choice. I think the potential is highest in the US for success compared to the other choices, but you could also walk into the wrong store and get arrested by ICE.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•How can I bring my Atheist sister back to Islam?
2·21 days agoGod isn’t real, so you haven’t spoken a single word of truth in this thread. And if he is real, then he’s a right piece of shit for all of the terrible things he does and allows. I’d rather role the dice with the big man down stairs who is only there because he loves me too much.
Religion is a cancer.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Is it safe to leave the front door unlocked at night in the US?
4·21 days agoGrowing up on a small town in Iowa, I would leave my car unlocked and windows down during the day. I lived rural and we never locked our door. Now there’s been more development near my mother’s house and she locks the door at night and when she’s not home. Someone down the street about a mile away had someone break into their house. Unfortunately for the perp, the home owner heard, grabbed a golf club and gave the dude a shiner and a titlists face tattoo.
Now I live in a larger metro area and keep my doors locked all day. I truly wouldn’t need to because we have a pretty safe community, but my wife grew up in a worse place so it’s more habit than anything. We also have dogs they could potentially pop a door open and get out, so extra piece of mind.

politics @lemmy.world•Texas House speaker puts New Mexico secession on 2027 agenda
1·22 days agoFor the same reason that countries exist. Everyone should have the right for representation. The US is a big place. It needs to be broken into individual locations so that citizens are better locally represented. Whether or not the seemingly arbitrary lines make sense is a different debate, but have some level of boundaries should exist due to the size of this country.

politics @lemmy.world•Texas House speaker puts New Mexico secession on 2027 agenda
1·22 days agoState boundaries make sense in that if there were none everyone would be represented by a single entity. They have to exist at some level for that reason.

26·22 days agoTrump’s platform was laid out plainly leading up to the election. He was already heavily implicated to being involved with Epstein. Either she’s a complete idiot that is so out of touch that it’s unfathomable, or she knew who Trump is and what he’s about and decided that the damage he would do to other demographics was acceptable, making her a hypocrite. The idea that Trump was actually going to release the Epstein files and somehow bring justice takes a whole level of stupid to believe.

11·27 days agoLol. Kick you while you’re down? Talk about a victim complex. I just see one person in here throwing a tantrum and threatening violence.
Do you feel so weak in your life that you must attack random stranger that has done nothing to you.
Says the person verbally attacking and threatening a stranger on the internet.
will get motherfucking violent because that is how I’ve had to survive.
Here’s some life advice… You literally don’t have to get violent to survive internet debates. Getting angry easily isn’t a cross to bear, it’s a childish reaction if a weak minded person.
You should talk to a therapist.
I do have better things to do, but I enjoy pointing out bad behaviour when I see it. I would do the same to any other child too.

11·1 month agoHe’s got over a decade track record of being a piece of shit. We should acknowledge when they do something not shitty, but still criticise them and hold them accountable for their past actions. Failing to do that in the past is why we are in the current state we’re in.

4·1 month agoAdmittedly, I also don’t know the law to the letter. I’m basing some of my opinion on OP saying spouse in their comment.
It’s one thing when the outside cheater doesn’t know that their fuck buddy is married, and it’s another when they do know. If you willingly engage in an action that destabilizes someone’s life because you want to get your fuck on, there should be monetary consequential.
I have no patience for cheaters, especially in a monogamous relationship. Again not because of sanctity of marriage, but because of the betrayal of trust and monetary consequences.

politics @lemmy.world•Sinema admits a romance with her security guard as she fights ex-wife’s lawsuit
111·1 month agoI partially disagree with your second part but not because of any sacredness of marriage, but because once in a marriage a lot of finances and life decisions are made that can fuck a person’s life if suddenly up rooted. I feel like this law is an improvement on alimony because it’s a one time payment and the person that fucked it has to pay.
Really, I just like when shitty people get their comeuppance.
Brawno. It’s got what plants crave.
