Yes, her bed is a just over a metre from the wall, so need a space saver.
The idea came from a Noah’s Ark playset I had when I was a kid. The Ark folded out to become like a similarly shallow zoo.
A few bits of velcro stuck with adhesive backing. She’s very careful, but yeah don’t want to risk it.
Also Rex Krueger is worth having on the list https://m.youtube.com/@RexKrueger
Attack on Titan anime better than the manga. I love them both, but the musical cues, the animation, the voice acting all take the anime way over.
Where I am the lorikeets and rosellas are often together, like double dating
Kitchen window. About 2x3 metres if I remember right.
We had a trampoline in our backyard, outside the kitchen so mum could watch us while cooking or whatever. There was a huge hill (our house was in a bit of a mountainous area), and we decided to throw some rocks down the hill and bounce them off the trampoline… but we were uncoordinated 10 year olds so we missed every time. And it was just a bunch of little stones gathering in our backyard.
Then I found one rock. Pretty big, had to lift it with two hands and shot-put it down the hill. That was the one that we finally landed on the trampoline. And it bounced right through the kitchen window.
I typically log in to facebook a couple times a month to see if anyone sent me any messages.
But then I check it frequently during crises. Our town (small regional town out in the bush) has a community group that shares location and severity of bushfires or storms, local power outages, missing animals, emergency calls, criminal activity (break ins, theft of equipment, suspicious behaviour like unfamiliar vehicles parking outside their house, etc).
My partner had bought some flat packed stuff for her before, like a toy kitchen and a little shop front. And it just seemed so bad and most of it I had to recut to fit together or drill new holes that had never lined up.
Thought we could all be happier with some handmade stuff instead.
She does love it for now. But I made it easy to disassemble so we can change bits, replace with nicer timber, or fix up anything that cracks from my amateur work.
And she just stayed in her bed for the entire night without crying out for us, the first time in about a year. I think she must be really happy about it.
Maybe. I designed it this way so my partner could easily come up with something to go over the top/on the posts. She’s into the crafting and cricut stuff, so she might get an idea to make this look nicer.
Absolutely I knew the aesthetics wouldn’t be good, Those “nicer” boards were just someone’s offcuts I got, so you’re not far off with that assessment. I’ve never used a stain before, so don’t have anything on hand. For finishing, I just have walrus oil (free sample from the hardware shop) and shellac available, but If I had some money I would have gone uniform timber all over.
Thank you for not deleting your old posts! I’ve seen too many people saying they have used tools to delete all their old Reddit posts.
