I’d like to design a similar off-grid system. What do you have in mind for mobile wifi router and cellular signal booster?

There is no way I was expecting to hear something like this ahead of an election…
You could try Jami. It’s peer to peer, so essentially any participants are self-hosting it. Its E2E encrypted, supports group messaging, voice and video calling, has easily ‘linkable’ mobile and desktop apps for all platforms and requires no email address or phone number to use. It’s also the only messenger I’m aware of which is endorsed by the Free Software Foundation. I highly recommend it 👌
I work with print a lot too. Very interested in the imminent release of GIMP 3.0 with it’s colour upgrades.
Do people like Trump because he aligns with their politics or because in a simple way he expresses American identities of being irreverent, ‘straight talking’ and entrepreneurial? Just a thought as an outsider.
If they were really professional actors then their Kiwi accents would be more convincing.
Yeah DDG was struggling for me too.
I think that adding to this is people’s heightened perception of danger. You feel safer being higher up (which of course is a fallacy, as this article points out). If it was status and advertising alone driving these sales, I would expect to see sportier-looking cars selling more at the same time. I have also noticed more people using vans as domestic vehicles. Home security stuff seems to have boomed around the same time as well.
Interestingly, the most prominent group I can think of who still value small cars are boy racers.
*Iceland. I recommend them too.
It’s not on your list but 1984. Iceland based, good for privacy, runs on renewable energy. You can install YUNOhost on it and easily run the things you mentioned plus a bunch of other stuff like email.
Ah this makes me nostalgic for my Religious Studies. I seem to remember there being similar differences between Theravada and Mahayana Buddhism.
Bottom, for pocketing. And cable not dangling over screen.
It weighed more than my first girlfriend.
Driving cars when babies exist in the world.
My friend’s dad had a computer with the internet and we used it to look at pictures of girls tits when he went out. Didn’t seem like much of a big deal at the time.
Later on, downloading Beavis and Butthead audio clips on Napster or something: “Time for a little probation”
Items in perfect order of robustness on the conveyor, but more than one bag…
I joined mastodon just before a big twitter exodus because I was getting into open source, via privacy, and quitting commodity social media. I got Lemmy and Pixelfed accounts not long afterwards because I was passionate about the fediverse. I’m only logged in to fediverse social media now. It’s not perfect (it’s still social media after all) but it has so much more integrity and feels more real, especially pixelfed which is an absolute peach and which I hope never changes! I mostly enjoy memes and shitposts here on Lemmy but it’s also getting pretty good for mutual help and advice in some communities, which I think is the most valuable thing about this format of social media.
I haven’t worn underwear since 2010 but if I had to choose it would be briefs because there is less fabric.
That travel router looks good. Will you also be using it to connect to the internet using a phone hotspot or just using it for a local network?
