It’s a sad commentary on our society. It isn’t nearly as healthy as I mistakenly thought it was 10 years ago – clearly I overestimated how well things were going. That this many would throw away The Great Experiment just boggles the mind.

I’m a paranoid sort. If I paraded a quarter of the signs, flags, offensive bumper stickers, et. al., of some of my neighbors in my red state, I would just expect that my property would be vandalized, my family threatened, my life endangered. I’m intentionally avoiding showing up on any “lists” that might be composed regarding people from different tribes. It’s not right that this is a problem, but it is reality.
I still occasionally watch her episode of The Muppet Show
The Mult will just go back to wearing diapers and carrying rattles at rallies and other events. Because, as they’d tell you, that’s not weird at all. Now, tan suits, don’t get them started.
I was thinking it is almost its own form of stolen valor, but I’m not a vet, so my opinions remain just that.
Edit: “it” being to denigrate Waltz’s honorable and valued service, in case that wasn’t clear
Nor the crazy inflation, apparently.
Might make a decent SNL sketch.
Holy mackerel, you’re right! THIS is better!
Yes, perfect!
Might be more accurate with the image of Grandpa yelling at the sky for Trump.
AbanTEDment Cruz? I’m not very good at this game, but it’s fun.
Clarence Alito Otherfolk? Man, that guy.
Yeah, fair enough. Especially the SC/Constitution-doesn’t-matter-anymore thing. Geez. What a mess we’re in.
Personally, I’d love to see a future Buttigiege/AOC ticket, but I’m not sure how well that would work in a general election. Who knows in 4 years, though?
AOC isn’t even old enough to run. I am thinking you haven’t thought through your argument as thoroughly as you think you have.
I wouldn’t go so far as to say they were defending themselves, but they certainly earned the right to a retaliatory strike. Whether the obvious ineffectiveness of their strike was a bug or a feature is up for debate. I, personally, think they knew what they were doing.
As for the sanctions, from US politics, there are a few countries who can never do anything correct, e. g., Iran, Cuba. And one that can do no wrong, e. g., Israel. It’s asinine, but that’s how it is.
It’s not as simple as people pretend. But not all that complicated, either. 65 was the “full” retirement age before law changes in the 80s. For most workers today, it’s 67. But wait! The amount you will get per month from social security depends on 2 things – how much you paid into the system, and what age you actually are when you retire. You can start collecting at 62, but it will be considerably less per month than if you retire at the full retirement age. And to confuse things more, you can keep working until 70(?) and the amount you will get continues to increase every month, so I’m not sure why full retirement age is 67 instead of 70.
Does this mean those owing state taxes to Alabama can deduct all their frozen embryos on their taxes?
Gotta watch out for those 5-year-old Hamas members, I suppose /s
I’m in a red state. I’m in a neighborhood with a lot of of retired Republicans. I don’t see a single Trump sign, but there is a growing count of Harris signs, including “Republicans for Harris.” ymmv
