I’m not sure Windows is a good example here since they’re historically well known for backwards compatibility and fixing obscure bugs for specific hardware.
Whereas Linux famously always had driver support issues.

Yeah this is my goto time killer on the phone or tablet if I’m traveling. No need for an Internet connection so great on a plane.
Yeah that’s what the efficiency gap measures: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Efficiency_gap
Although I’m getting different numbers for the NY efficiency gap. It could be D leaning but other places calculate it as R.
Do you mean New York is gerrymandered in the other direction? The 2022 map is +4% efficient gap for Republican. So she has her seat dispite the gerrymandering going the other direction.
If it’s something I don’t really want to do then it’s 1.5x my current salary assuming 8 hours of work per day.
I originally switched because there was still a small flagship iPhone. However I stayed because it works just fine and iMessage worked better than SMS for whatever that time period was before people moved to other messaging apps.
Now I use an Android phone for work and don’t really see enough advantage for me to switch.
Pokémon Puzzle League! Building up all the chains felt amazing! It’s a feeling I’ve tried to recreate it other similar games but haven’t found one with such a great implementation.
I think more research should be done as it may interact with the interstitium which is a relatively new discovery and may provide a scientific explanation.
My partner totally asks me questions she hears from TikTok trends. Man vs bear, etc.
Just a lot of the koala habitats got destroyed by wildfires and they’re more endangered than ever now. So I’m surprised if they’re commonly seen.
Are these common nowadays? Thought their environments got burned down.
My old iPhone took a swim but it mostly came back. The face sensor and NFC stopped working immediately but after a few months the NFC started working again. Eventually however parts of the touchscreen started failing in vertical strips. At first it was still usable but at some point too much of the screen became unresponsive I had a get a Bluetooth remote to use the phone.
I was stubborn about getting a new phone as I knew the iPhone 15 would get USB C and wanted to wait hot that.
Tommy Caldwell is a high level outdoor rock climber and he’s missing most of his left index finger.
It would still have to repel the air with electromagnetic forces between electrons, so the total speed is still limited. Or does the air just stay in place inside your body? If not, then the teleporter would have to move the air somewhere.
Why would air displace so quickly?
New Zealand in general. Milford Sound in the rain when there’s thousands of waterfalls. The pristine wilderness.
Writing interview notes have actually helped a lot for me to use they/them since we have to be gender neutral in our notes. Now it’s not so hard to switch into using it when needed.
So you need to consider the relationship between the amount of decay radiation and how long a substance lasts. The more radiation, the faster the fuel will decay. If you want something to last a long time this way it will probably be too stable to generate a lot of energy.
I actively enjoy climbing. It’s just fun and kind of an exercise. For lifting, I don’t mind it but it’s definitely an effort some days.
In terms of driver development it’s more collaborating than just Windows releasing an API and the manufacturers creating the drivers. Bug reports from large manufacturers are absolutely taken seriously. Customers usually never see this interaction.
I would say maybe 1990-2010 was really a dominant time for Windows and that was also when they were actively improving, but now they have plenty of competition. It’s just that people have moved away from desktops. Mobile platforms are now an existential threat. Fewer and fewer people are buying desktops to begin with. Maybe Microsoft has given up on desktops and that’s why they’re making Windows worse.
