I’ve had one for years. It’s perfect. Shaves far better than any other I have ever used, and blades are dirt cheap. I bought one for all my kids as well. They also love it. And you can use any replacement blades you want. They just use the standard safety razor blades.
Both are excellent. I’m guessing west coast US?
You should be proud, that’s a very good picture.

2·2 months agoWe were up camping in the cascades, and came down into town to find a spatula, as the one we brought with us was terrible. While looking for a spatula, I found a cast iron pan buried in amongst all the kitchen junk that is simply beautiful. It was dirty, with glitter all over it, but after cleaning it, my gosh, it’s by far my nicest cast iron pan. $3!
I have a lovely picture facing the other direction from the lighthouse cliff, I wonder where it is.
Western Oregon is definitely a wild place.

4·3 months agoPersonally, I use LLMs as a time saving tool. It writes the code I tell it to write then I carefully review all of it, every line. It saves about 50% of my time, which is very useful. Like you, I’ve been coding for 40 years in a variety of languages.
I write code for a large non profit and we quite frankly simply don’t have the manpower (or money) to do all the projects we want to do that will improve people’s lives. So it’s a reasonable compromise. AI never touches our codebase and never has access to it at all.
It’s a tool, like any other. Anyone who sets up a table saw to run by itself without careful monitoring and expertise would be fired immediately. Same thing for “vibe coders”.
No. I prefer to be alone, but apparently there’s something about me that other people, animals and kids really like and I’m just too damned nice to just reject all of them all the time.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Have you ever had a dream so immersive that it fucks with your head?English
2·3 months agoI did quite a bit of research before going with a capsule from a trusted source. The capsules have the same effect as consuming raw lion’s mane, just amplified, which is why I’ve gone to once a week. It is quite effective at combating the brain fog, but the intense dreams last for 2 days or so after taking one. This is definitely something I would encourage you to research on your own, do the due diligence before taking something like this, as it’s definitely mind-altering. In my particular case, for the good, but YMMV.

0·3 months agoI take these mushroom pills, don’t worry they’re food grade mushrooms. One of them is lions mane, and I take that one specifically to combat the brain fog from long COVID. The only issue I have is that it makes my dreams ridiculously vivid and realistic to the point where most of them are boring stuff like you are describing. I kinda hate taking them, but it is working so I’ll continue. I reduced the dosage to once a week but it’s still almost too much.
