  • She, in particular, does seem to be earning more rebuke from her Republican peers of late. Some of them have recognized that the antics on display by Greene and her ilk are beginning to wear on constituents more and more by the day, and are attempting to distance themselves in acts of self preservation.

While I hope that it doesn’t work and that these folks also lose their voice and seat, it does seem to bode well that at least a minor course correction is happening in the GOP, if not far too late. I’m not completely optimistic, though, because the constituency hasn’t suddenly become less divided - we’ve just seemingly found the bounds of the caricature the right wing of this country is comfortable with being publicly represented by.

    1. Don’t use healthy Floridians as Guinea pigs for these vaccines.

    2. Only get it if you’re over 65

Covid hospitalizations in FL are skyrocketing. Desantis knows the vaccines are effective, which is why he’s not precluding elderly VOTERS from seeking it in his guidance. He doesn’t care if young people, who even in his hellscape of a state aren’t a guaranteed supporter, get sick and / or die from this virus. He’s hoping that he can buoy those who are almost entirely in his voting bloc while “proving a point” in his dumbass culture war.

  • With the improvements Ruud and team put into Lemmy.World, my experience has gotten infinitely better. Lemmy is completely satisfying my Reddit addiction, and Memmy is an incredible app to navigate it all.

Overall, I’m really happy I made the switch. Had a 12 year run on Reddit, but Lemmy proves that Spez is wrong about where the value lies. If the content is water, there are dozens of ways to move it to different places, and right now Reddit looks like a leaky bucket in comparison.
