Without the blue States contributing to federal government you’ve just starved the Beast that much more and hurt that many more people. It’s enough to push them over the edge and make them cum. They need Wi-Fi to work. However. Tp-link I think is switching over more and more to their Tapo sub brand. Which are supposed to have an integration with home assistant but I have yet to get work. All the Wi-Fi Casa switches however and Casa bulbs work like a treat without any complex configuration or setup. Just basically Plug and Play

Make no mistake, many of them are 100% intellectually impaired. We know this for a fact. Lead in fuel and lead in paint etc. Absolutely had an impact. Causing mental impairment and violent behavior. To what extent is still a valid question.

That’s not a lie. By the metrics they use the economy is doing great. They’re using the wrong metrics. The people are not the economy. And not being properly served by it.
Trump voters elected Trump specifically because he lied to them. Just like he did last time. He told them he could fix all these different things and he fixed none of them.
Him acknowledging it isn’t necessarily a good thing unless he’s actually going to do something to fix it. Which he’s not. He will make it worse than the democrats. He did last time. Republicans always do.
Everyone here knows why the Democrats lost. And there were many many reasons. Not just because they did not manipulate voters correctly. Yes they need to address voters concerns better. 100%. But there was also plenty of foreign interference. As well as the fact that we shouldn’t discount that the average American voter is ignorant, apathetic, and often fucking stupid when it comes to politics. But regardless of it all. I can guarantee one thing. In five or six years they will have learned nothing from it. Neither the Democrats nor voters.
And you can say that you don’t support or defend Trump. But you don’t have to bring up Trump to criticize democrats either. Yet you consistently have. You can criticize them on this topic all day long without ever mentioning Trump.
That will absolutely be their first course of action. The problem with it being. They are near pricing themselves out of the market on many things as is. Quite a lot of inflation has been because of Market control and collusion. Not actual increase in costs. Consumers are struggling currently. Pushing at any harder very likely could cause collapse. Not that many oligarchs won’t. They’re that out of touch.
So why make it worse? Electing trump to fix wages and the economy. Is like opting for castration to treat ED.
Yes and no. There’s going to be thousands of agriculture etc jobs opening up under him. The problem is there won’t be willing or qualified applicants.
Which will at once increase demand for labor. Thus increasing costs for oligarchs. But at the same time throw a monkey wrench into basic supply chains. Causing shortages and crises. He’s literally going to hurt everyone. But we all knew that.
That’s almost an endorsement to Senate Republicans.
Fetterman was never a progressive icon. He ran against a mountain of shit and looked better by comparison. Because a heaping mound is less than a mountain.
Fetterman has always been an asshole and a bully. His stroke changed nothing. People just found his bullying of a grifter and bully acceptable and thought it was a one off. Not who he’s always been.
It only works for a short time. It will break. And break more violently the longer it drags on.
Wealthy, insulated fashys think they have no use for the truth. That it’s just an expense. And the people at large have not stepped up to correct them.
It’s not a lie. But a very fundamentally flawed compromise. Many people simply do not acknowledge or even understand how we got here.
Since the 1980s the Democrats have had two masters with conflicting goals. Before the 1980s. Democratic War chests were largely filled with labor union support and money. I wonder how many people understand why that changed. And no it wasn’t because Democrats abandoned labor unions.
Rather it was because labor unions abandoned democrats. Many of their own members as part of a wave election the United States had not seen in centuries. Overwhelmingly elected a folksy fascist. Who immediately turned around to attack unions. Destroying Union power. Leaving them irrelevant. And to this day wondering why they don’t get catered to. Why the party spends more time going where the resources and money are.
If we want the Democratic party to focus on social issues, to focus on labor issues, and go against the wealthy. We need to find a way to replace all the money and resources the wealthy give them.
Democrats need labor support and generally broad popular support. In order to get that support, to reach our ignorant, disengaged, apathetic voter base. They need access to mass media owned now by the fascists. And it’s not cheap.
If we want Democrats to be a staunch left wing labor party. Then we need to do one of two simple sounding things. Either replace all traditional mass media for more than three quarters of Americans. With something democratized and accountable. Simple right?
Or, barring that. We organize a mass awakening and organization. Raising multiple times the amount Democrats raise every presidential election, every year. To fund education, outreach and organization. That shouldn’t be an issue right?
Oh, they absolutely were friendly to Sanders because they knew it was divisive. Had Sanders won the primary they would have slandered him as easily as anyone else. All Things Considered however. I think Sanders understands this. And has parlayed it into a success for himself and his agenda which is good. Unfortunately for many people they’re still letting it keep them divided against the fascists. Which is what the fastest one. So in that respect it’s a move that will continue to pay dividends for them for decades on.
Under capitalism their Duty has always been to their owners. We simply used to rely on there being enough diversity of voices that no one owner or owners could control the media and thus the perception of the population.
Now Almost all mass media Is owned by the same small group of people. And they very much use it to their benefit to warp and shape the perception of the public. Because no one is going to speak out loud enough against them.
It’s been terminal since early 20th century. When all major mass media gave attention to and ran with the Red Scare. Literally ending people’s livelihoods over the simple suspicion that people may have had sympathies towards Russia.
As someone who’s got a little more than a decade on you in this instance. In some ways it’s worse. Some ways it’s better. A lot of the ways where it seems worse is just so much of it is out in the open. It’s not new. But people could ignore it.
It’s like all the rubes that think that since we’ve suddenly started being aware of autism. That somehow autism rates have exploded in recent years and it must be some nefarious plot. Rather than we didn’t have good definitions and diagnosis of it previously and a lot of it went undiagnosed.
All these fascists and Nazis didn’t pop fully formed from nothing. They’ve ALWAYS been here.
And while the right wing consolidation of mass media is worse now than ever. The internet has also given leftist spaces more reach and accessibility. Which is good. Though not without problems of it’s own. As many latch on to violent oppressive nominally left wing ideologies. Seeking simple solutions to complex problems.
It’s easy to become overwhelmed, numb, and detached. Make no mistake, we’ve got years of what should have been an avoidable shit storm coming. But the thing to consider. Whether you’re an easily manipulated, bigoted, or xenophobic right winger/conservative or a staunch lefty. We all agree that government isn’t serving us. And more and more of these manipulated conservatives are starting to realize that these corporations etc are the enemy. It’s why the recent assassination struck a chord. The more of them that break and wake up. The more we reach. The more perilous the wealthy’s position gets. The more possible change becomes. There doesn’t have to be violence. Unfortunately there will be violence. But once the wealthy think there is a real possibility. They could face repercussions. Change will happen.
