It is honestly one of my guilty pleasures and I really do feel guilty. Sort of morbid that we are entertained by someone else’s death.

I think it depends on what youre asking for. Some search engines, not always AI but sometimes, I ask it really quick questions and I get answers. There may be calculators, conversation tools, etc already in the search.

I.e. what is 42 days from today. What’s the release date of X game, etc.

I haven’t had the time to switch to kagi yet but I have DDG and was just too lazy to turn off their AI feature. Didnt really bother me one way it the other. If the AI search doesnt answer my question I just move onto normal links. Again, for simple inquiries it just spits out the answers for me without having to click anything.

Oh. Yeah… Coworker issues can be universal no matter what industry lol. But yes! Continue to be there to listen to her and support her. Youre a great partner for asking the question! Therapy wouldn’t hurt but its a very personal decision.

Well, I would ask her first how she is feeling. Assess, dont assume. I manage ED staff and honestly they’re all okay unless there is a super super depressing case or a very difficult patient.

Otherwise, they’re fine and their work day is very normal for them. There’s even a few that thrive in it.

So unless her rant is about stress, maybe I wouldn’t worry. Lots of people in the hospital just like talking about their day or venting. If it is about stress or something more, there’s a lot of resources and interventions she can try/tap into: EAP, therapy, trying a different area in the hospital, etc.

I don’t subscribe to this. I am happily married to my husband but understand love is very dynamic and monogamy isn’t for everyone. There’s also polyamory, asexuals, etc.

On a more personal level, I don’t desire anyone else and neither does my husband but we have a very healthy relationship with no jealousy. We are both secure and discuss attractability of others we sometimes find in passing (I.e. we witnessed a guy full sprint laps around us while on vacation walking around botanical gardens. He was a beast). If someone good looking, charismatic, or intelligent, that is just our perception of them.

I’m sure he and many others are receiving threats from both current administration and MAGATS alike. Besides protesting, I felt like it’s my way of showing support. Like hey, we may disagree on a lot of other issues but I am in support of what you are doing right now. Our democracy is no longer a democracy and we need more allies fighting back against fascism. Most of the Democratic establishment is doing jack shit right now. Let’s support people that do have a backbone and continue to push and criticize those that do not. That’s my take on it

I have a balance board at work, and if weather permitting take my dog on a 10 min jog every day… I hate jogging but 10 mins is less than 1% of your day (15 mins is 1% of your day)!

I also do daily stretches.

I have an app called Finch that keeps me accountable by gamifying habits.

I recently finished Some Desperate Glory and can imagine it as a TV series.

Admittedly, some of the works I have enjoyed I selfishly do not want another version of it: Project Hail Mary (movie coming out with Ryan Gosling), dungeon crawler carl they’re trying to make live action. I could go for animated but unsure about live action.

Apple has picked up a bunch of book based TV shows. I read but haven’t seen Pachinko.

US did consider this with Utah pioneering this initiative first. . I myself am still a believer in Housing First initiatives. The increased homelessness is a s/sx of continued systemic issues in the United States that need to be addressed in conjunction of Housing First initiatives. We need COL to be better, more affordable housing in general, education, employment rates, etc.

Honestly, I think unfortunately gender/sex does play a factor, in addition to race. If this administration has taught us anything, is that there is that much hate within our country.

Also think of cultures where historically their culture doesnt value women. Even if there are people who immigrated here, some still may never vote for a woman. Some will decline because they are racist. While we are all Americans, we are deeply deeply divided ATM :(

Same here. I also like to use it to save time on things. My work has all my info and their policies anyways so i use it to make meeting minutes, make emails summarizing policies or announcements, finding mutual scheduling times, etc. I can do all these myself but its so much faster.

I only really use AI at work and keep my work off my personal devices.

Yes to AITA. You’ve made several posts like this, dont follow any suggestions presented, decline to change (does not matter if youre neurotypical or not), I think even took another position in nursing and still miserable. If you are this miserable, as hard as it may be, likely would be worth a career change.

Not me but my now husband at 27. I laid my head on his chest going to sleep and heard wheezing. I asked him if he always wheezed lol. He thought he was just out of shape and combined with really bad allergies. Respiratory conditions suck.

Reading the other thread you cross-posted from and being a nurse myself, I agree with the other comments and answers found in the original thread.

You don’t have to like the answer but people generally are asking not to be prying but to be social with you and involving you to be inclusive, whether or not you are neurotypical. That is nice of your peers and honestly, practicing these behaviors for your patients too would help with your job. You are encountering individuals at their lowest: when they are most vulnerable, in pain, in discomfort, stressed, anxious, alone, etc. Part of the patient healing process is support and connection with their healthcare team, which would include you. Patients may do the same thing, ask you questions similar to those of your peers to get to know you or form a connection.

For your peers, you can disclose you are not neurotypical to increase understanding and let them know you are having issues with socialization but there should be some efforts to work with your team as well as with your patients. Healthcare especially in an acute setting as your answers so far has implied is a super social job and if not being social is your thing, there are other positions in healthcare that are not as social in nursing: utilization review, MDS RN, transfer center nurse, picc line vs wound care nurse just for specific tasks, etc.
