You see, one party lies with every breath. So they are not supposed to fact check “each other”…
I’m glad Amanda is for Democracy… But why is she (apparently) for embedding a landscape video inside her portrait video that doesn’t fit on my screen, so now it’s scaled down to 1/9th my TV’s viewable area?
Extremists (hint: not Tim Walz) will be able to just spout lies the whole time, and rational, honest candidates: (hint: not JD Vance) will have to either let them get away with complete bullshit assertions, or spend part of their time doing the job of the moderators… This is why no one believes in Journalism these days…
10 years ago, this would be an Onion headline.
Because… she’s an empathetic, intelligent, introspective individual, who listens to experts, her advisors, and citizens. Not everyone needs to be manipulated to do the right thing…
Thank you. I’m not actually that old-school, but back in the day, the only directions that mattered were the changes. “Turn right on the dirt road, and follow it for about 35 miles. Turn right at the crazy magenta and black diner…”
I’m sorry, I wasn’t paying attention. What were you saying?
That’s… some different issues. I think your phone/vehicle/GPS might actually be haunted. Do you know of any exorcists?
Woah, that’s crazy. I was specifically thinking of I-25! Though it does it with other roads and highways as well…
Yes, it is. I use it every day to visit multiple locations. My personal pet peeve is when it displays “In 1.5 miles, continue straight”. On a road where there’s no changes in that distance. That’s not part of the directions, that’s just continuing. Not only is it unhelpful because I can’t not do this “step”, but I can’t see the next, actual step, which could be “In 200 ft, turn left” and won’t know which lane to be in.
I can’t prove it, but I think at some point they applied an automatic algorithm that added intermediate steps to all their routing (for when a road curves a certain way, etc), but it was too aggressive and not human-reviewed.
Until we get voting reform, the US presidential Election is a binary choice, one or the other. An endorsement is just that: supporting one candidate over the other (and obviously their policies come along with them).
Doing it this way comes across as lukewarm support and isn’t as helpful in getting people to vote for that candidate. Kamala Harris is an empathetic, intelligent person capable of introspection. Get her elected, then we can pressure her to reconsider certain policy positions…
They are usually very aligned with management, and try to obscure that…
one political party or the other
Let’s be honest: It’s only one side that holds the country hostage to try to force through their unpopular agenda…
No… No, that’s not true. Yes, hydrogen and helium are both lighter than air. But that’s pretty much where the similarities end. Hydrogen is unstable, which is why it can explosively combust when mixed with as little as 4% oxygen. Helium is stable, helium won’t burn. So if it had been filled with helium, it might have crashed. But it definitely wouldn’t have been a catastrophic fireball…
Geography and history is not racism.
GOP: “It’s only political rhetoric and divisiveness to say that we’re extremists and Nazis.”
GOP politician and official nominee: “I’m a Nazi porn addict who thinks women shouldn’t be allowed to vote.”
This guy’s career will end because he said the quiet part out loud…
gestures broadly to literally everything that’s not skin color
You’re expecting facts to work on a Trump supporter? Good luck…
I hate… so much about the things that you choose to be.
