I think the less confusing alternative is a top two non partisan primary and a 1v1 general election.

Maybe if a “lower ranking” democratic congressperson like AOC do a BLM protest in Washington D.C, she might get harassed by the capitol police, but they’ll be fine. I doubt she’ll get shot.

The average civillian, however, if you still have any yard signs indicating that you support any democratic candidates, you might wanna take those down, because you might randonly get investigated for whatever trumped-up (pun intended) charges they invent. Or get a no-knock raid and ends with buller holes in your skull.

If you look “Mexican” to them, you could get deported if you don’t have your papers with you, even if you are legal, or even a citizen. (Might wanna look into getting a fireproof safe to store those documents, also keep photo backups of any documents that prove that you are here legally)

Americans are gonna swing back and forth between the major parties until elections eventually stop happening. Mark my words.

Careful with that, if she wins because of “hotness”, SCOTUS might rule that as prostitution and therefore make her ineligible.

I don’t mean to be a bigot when I say this, but I doubt America is willing to elect black/brown/hispanic women yet. White rage is still going strong. This country is gonna need someone who is a chistian straight white man on the top of the democraric ticket. A younger Bernie. I feel disgusted to say this but it’s what has to be done to save democracy in the US.

You know, as an Asian American, I would like to see someone like Andrew Yang to become president, you know what I mean. He’s decent guy. But like thats so unrealistic in this country. Sometimes you just gotta accept this harsh reality.

Unless you find someone like Obama. Well even then, honestly I doubt someone like Obama could even win in today’s political climate.

There are no reports of election observers seeing irregularities.

Republicans did do some anti-democracy but technically legal moves like voter roll purges, but I think that even if they didn’t do that, trump would’ve still won.

For some reason, millions of democrats stayed home. Unless you wanna claim some crazy conspiracy where they got mind controlled or something, its just voter apathy. Possibly because of Gaza.

But seriously tho, I have nowhere to run to. Nowhere that isn’t literally worse than the US. No place thats better than the US would accept US refugees because we are still technically a democracy, and the border agents at whatever country you apply for asylum would tell you to go back to the US and move to a Blue state. “Moving out of the country” is what people commonly say but its not a realistic solution.

In this thought experiment, they would certainly not be able to say that because they wouldn’t exist anymore.

But the point remains, the military would never obey such orders. Biden would have to quickly fire the chain of commands until he finds such commander, find a unit in the military willing to perform such illegal act, carry out the act, then get senate to confirm new justices. Oh btw Democrats still believe in the rule of law, senate Democrats would never approve this, even if he orders 50 of the most conservative members killed (50 is quorum btw) there wouldn’t be 25 democrats willing to confirm them. What would happen is republican house would impeach biden along with like 90% of democrats voting in favor, then the senate would probably like 40/50 dems voting to convict. Democrats would lose the electoral college like all the swing states against whatever republican is running, even if he tries to get the entire republican ticket killed, since non voting republicans would be raging against democrats. The Democratic party would have to disband and form another party to try to rebrand.

I mean Biden is not a dictator, he can only do what average Democratic politicians in congress would deem acceptable. I mean at this point its just political fan-fiction. This is civil war territory and any speculation would sound surreal and ridiculus.

Off topic but “an appintee of President-Elect ___” is an interesting phrase I’ve never seen before.

Next we might see “an appoinee of President-Elect ___ has declared that his criminal convictions are invalid due to presidential immunity.”

The average voter mindset is “which president will get me cheaper food?”

My parents get fed propaganda from Wechat (yes that Chinese app) saying democrats are letting too much illegal immigrants in, taking up too much resources.

We are legal immigrants, but shes doesn’t see “illegal immigrant” is a dogwhistle about all immigrants that they dont like like black or brown people, or anyone they deem inferior.

Doesnt help the fact that Eric Adams and NYC democrats are building homeless shelters near Chinese American population.

My parents told me some of our relatives in NYC voted Trump, Asian Americans voting trump.

They say some Asian American co-workers at their workplace are supporting Trump.

My parent say “Its fine, we survived one term under trump”

Everyone who’s a US Citizen in our household voted Kamala Harris. We tried. Our state PA still went red.

My US Citizen mom once said, “maybe we shouldn’t vote for democrats, look at what they did in NYC (refering to homeless shelters)”, and I reminded her about the Chinese Exclusion Act. So she vote Harris because I told her to. Like she didnt have a mind of her own. If her children turned out to be conservatives, she’d vote trump. Some people just dont care about politics. Similarly, some people have apolitical children but political parents, those children then vote for who their parents vote for.

We need to fix this voter apathy. Democracy is just broken.

Technically they said Presidents and Former Presidents cannot be prosecuted for it, not give them the authority to. You still have to find a “yes-man” to obey those orders. Biden can try, tell the military to kill SCOTUS members for treason, they say “Sorry Mr. President No-can-do”. Biden might be immune for trying to do it.
