I agree, but I also don’t know if I’ll have that opinion in the future…
Like I said, I view the financial aspect of my responsibility. It’s more like I’d be worried about not really being able to make my own decisions and not having someone there to help me out. Someone to help pick what retirement home or elder care facility I end up in. Someone to check on me and make sure those places aren’t doing elder abuse. That sort of stuff.
Why the aggression??
I’d rather regret not having children than regret having children. I don’t want to risk giving a child that life. They’d deserve a parent who really wants them. I don’t think this is good advice.

Having no kids. I currently have no children and do not plan to. I am satisfied with my life. My only real concerns are about who would support me when I age. Not monetarily but just in case my mind starts to slip and I need someone to help me get the help I need. I don’t feel comfortable having a child or adopting with that being the sole reason.

I recently had a gas leak scare. Originally thought it was plumbing. They checked for gas leaks with a tool and found nothing. No obvious plumbing problems. We called the fire department the next time we smelled it to be safe. No gas leak but a bad car battery being charged was releasing a sulfur smell and about to catch fire.
I worked in a deli without protective gloves and am lucky I have all my fingers.
You know how the end of the meat or cheese would sometimes not fall through the slicer? Well, one time it just got stuck. I absentmindedly reaching in and flicked it out. With the blade on. It’s a good damn miracle I didn’t hit it.
In reality, no one worth extorting is going to use a non OSI approved license (or license and exception).

Nah, there is the class path exception which is like an amendment to the license sort of. It doesn’t change the text of the license, it’s just added at the end. Also, nothing is stopping you from dual licensing. In the same way many companies provide a version of their software under GPL but provide a version under an exclusive license if you pay them, you could give people the code under an exclusive license if they send a butt pic.

More like chaotic dumb. This is a good way to get fired and possibly end up with criminal charges depending on how petty the boss is. And based on how stubborn and tech illiterate they are it is likely.

Honestly, if I had this magic power, I’d pick something like Ubuntu or Fedora. The exact pick doesn’t matter, I don’t want this to devolve into a holy war, but I want to “The Year of the Linux Desktop” to stop being a tongue in cheek meme. I want Windows and Apple to have to make meaningful changes to maintain their market share.
It is left as an exercise for the bed users who are from countries which drive on different side of the roads to determine their own phrasing.

I believe it was my 2021 taxes (meaning I filed in 2022). Think I still have a shot? I don’t remember how much it was but it was definitely more than zero.
