I don’t see the solution in mass uprising in America, sadly. The ownership class has done such a thorough and successful job of dividing the working class, not even just left and right, but the people with a small vacation home and a boat thinking they’re any closer to billionaires than I am working paycheck to paycheck. That false superiority and financial contentment will keep them from getting uncomfortable enough to join a movement, and keep stumping for the status quo that got them there. The rest of us, the bottom of the working class, are so split along ideological lines that I don’t think we could ever cooperate. I certainly know that I would have to swallow bile to stand next to a MAGA that wanted to strip my wife of her rights.

Why do you have to jump right to the extreme? If you’re looking for useful discourse, immediately shutting down what you seem to agree would be a good idea isn’t helpful. I know plenty of gun nuts that would absolutely drop the hate of the Republicans if they knew their hobby was secured. It’s easy to do simply because NOBODY IS ACTUALLY GOING TO COME FOR ANYBODY’S GUNS. Who’s going to do it, cops? The guys that love guns? The military? It’s just a lack of critical thinking and a little bit of reassurance might go a long way.

Did I disagree with any of what you said anywhere? That’s working with the party. I’m looking for a plan from anybody saying to split the party. Those are good ideas that I agree with and have been pushing my state reps for.

What solution do you propose to not working with the Democrats right now? Splitting the party and forming a progressive party hoping for scraps from the right that just want guns AND weed and don’t care about trans folks? What’s your plan besides being angry at Corporate Democrats? Have you donated to any of our more progressive Representatives?

I’ve always said if Democrats just shut the fuck up about guns or God forbid even walk back a teensy but, they would have no problem winning. Plenty of single issue voters vote red because of successful propaganda. How the hell anybody thinks anyone is coming for their buns is beyond me, I always ask for an explanation of who and how their guns will be taken from them. Never a coherent answer.

Democrats suck the fattest corporate dick, lovingly, and laugh at the poor fighting amongst themselves, but it’s not good to dilute such a serious label as fascist with something you don’t like.

Because as much as Americans cosplay caring about wounded veterans, the truth is that they are just the slag byproduct of the profitability of war. A token effort is made to placate the loudest of them while the rest are quietly pushed into the dim corners of our economy, being told they should be proud of their minimum wage job at Home Depot while they privately drink themselves to death.

That’s not how criminal law works, actually. In criminal courts the State brings charges regardless of the victims wishes.
