Back-paying furloughed federal employees after a shutdown predates Trump, FYI. That’s been the policy for a long time. It was made a law during Trump’s first term.

Of course, now they are threatening to not back pay them or, at least, omitting language about back pay from letters to furloughed employees.

It’s this weird human tendency to take things to extremes. Sometimes it leads to amazing advances and sometimes it leads to inedible sugar sculptures.

Also, reminds of stuff like Carhenge. When humans have an excess of something, they make art out of it.

I wonder if we supported art in more traditional materials better of this stuff would even exist.
