My biggest pet peeve is people who scalp their lawns and spray shit all over it to make it green and kill the bugs. If it didn’t kill the buggies 'n stuff I wouldn’t care so much but I’d still think it’s dumb cause all they need to do is not mow so aggressively and plant some clover to fix the nitrogen. Like their lawn needs less maintenance not more. Stop fucking spraying shit all over your lawn please AAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

My nearly 13 year old beagle was put down last week. I didn’t want to put him down and I cried for a long time both before and after. He had Cushing’s disease and he got to the point where he could no longer walk or stand. He stopped being interested in food and he stopped responding to his name and things happening around him.

If we didn’t put him down I don’t think he would have lived much longer and he probably would have died in pain. When dogs are euthanized they give them a sedative and he looked extremely peaceful before he passed away.

The way I see it is that everything has an end. It’s just a part of existence that you have to accept. While I am extremely sad that he passed away, I am also extremely happy that he existed and that he was my dog.

The issue is that they are causing real harm by expressing those views. I know that there are people out there who hate me just because I exist and I know that will never change. While their words do not directly hurt me, they have the capability to incite physical violence against me which definitely can hurt me. It is not just me I worry about. My heart breaks for the victims of hate speech. People kill themselves because of it. People get murdered because of it. That is why it needs to be illegal.

I did specify protected class. That means no hate speech towards people based on race, culture, nationality, and ethnicity, gender and sexuality, religion, age, disability, etc.

Note that political affiliation and wealth are not protected classes.

I do not think it is dystopian or fucked up to fire someone because of hate speech. I would not want to be treated by a bigoted nurse. I wouldn’t trust that they would treat me properly. And I wouldn’t want to work with a bigoted person. I would be afraid of them. These people are bad for companies and cause loses. They should be fired. And that’s just looking at it from an economical point of view.

Hate speech crosses a line. There are exceptions to the first amendment. People can get sued for defamation. People can go to prison for making threats or conspiring to commit a crime. Hate speech directed at a protected class should also be punished.

I use obsidian for just text stuff I need to remember later. If I need to do math or need a diagram temporarily I prefer pencil and paper. If I want to save diagrams for later I have a drawing tablet that I use like a whiteboard so that I can save and use layers. If you don’t have a drawing tablet Autodesk sketchbook is a decent substitute that can be used on your phone.

I heard someone else suggest she should get a porta potty and wheel it around the house of representatives on a pallet jack and be annoying as possible with it. That way she can still piss them off and not have to risk any danger using the men’s room.
