Not to yuck anyone’s yum, but if he slipped on a banana peel and caved his teeth in before getting his balls flattened by a sumo wrestler in cleats while someone scraped away his tattoos with a rusty knife, I would not be upset.

Criminal charges? That would be due process. I have been informed we no longer need that protection.

Will Bunch. One of my favorite columnists.

As long as Mississippi still exists they both have some work to do.

Someone still needs to say it publicly. You could have half the people in the deployment feeling that what they’re doing is wrong, but it’s not really an environment that encourages open discussion, let alone questioning orders. The person you speak to in confidence may share your feeling. Or they could be a closet murder hobo excited at the chance to hunt people for real. Is it worth finding out when you have bills to pay? A family to feed (and protect from harassment)?

Public dissent lets people know that they’re not alone. And hopefully outs the murder hobos when they go into an impotent rage.

Every act of resistance is important.

I still don’t believe I have enough reliable data. Which is kinda the point with stuff like this, isn’t it? The disinformation wars are ongoing and unceasing.

These things happen when a skinflint company contracts out network setup for a decade, gets acquired by another skinflint company who axes the contractors and doesn’t hire on-site network personnel, gradually builds out infra on top of the unsupported foundation, and then hires c suite buddies who want to bring in their own people to further muddy the waters.

Essentially we need States to unionize.

If I had a nickel for every time clearing the ARP tables fixed a problem, I’d have a shitload of nickels.

Depends on how brown they are.
