I feel like even if he does get impeached, he might simply…ignore it. Not for long, not with literally everyone else salivating at the thought of being king instead of him, but he could theoretically ignore it, the enforcement mechanisms to remove him forcibly from power (like the military or the DOJ) are pretty clearly compromised.

Pretty much this. The average American is homeless without their next paycheck, if not dead. We do not have social medicine, we do not have safety nets of any sort. We don’t have a culture of mutual aid despite what we might claim, nor enough charities to bridge the gaps. Being homeless is effectively a death sentence in much of the US, anyway - if the cops don’t kill you, it’s a good chance that the weather will.
Don’t forget burnouts who are only really good for joining the military. Current leaders are gonna want a LOT more meat for occupying our new colonies across the Americas.

I keep agreeing with the idea that Trump was part of the trafficking pipeline. At some point in a system like this, the abusers wind up being part of the machinery, especially a guy like Trump who literally stuck his fingers in every industry he thought he could get away with. I don’t see him not “returning the favor” by trafficking girls from his pageants and other events to Epstein or other abusers in the network.
