Ohio has actually been required to redraw maps for 8 years now. After the 2016 election, it was found that our maps were too heavily biased by the OH Supreme Court, and they ordered a committee to redraw it. The committee is, of course, practically only staffed by GOPers, and they so far have submitted 8 maps that I know of. At least two of them were literally the same as the map that was found illegal, and the rest of them were found to not meet criteria either. We absolutely have the ability to kill half the population if you’re not too picky about targeting and happy to rule through the idea of death from above rather than soldiers on the street in Mayberry. This also doesn’t account for police complicity, and the fact that there’s an alarming amount of right wingers who seem rather elated by the idea of potentially killing their liberal/leftists relatives, coworkers, classmates and neighbors.

TASER wound up in a big lawsuit after a guy died from cardiac arrest being hit by one, so most manufacturers changed it to “less than”, but then a couple more people died from being hit with beanbag/baton/rubber rounds, so now they’re marketed as “less lethal” because legally they can’t say “this can’t kill people” in their marketing when it absolutely can.

Make sure to replace them when they get hit though. They’re only rated for one strike, and after that the protection is not guaranteed.
