Regulations stifling the building of new accommodating housing. Large cities in some red states have massive apartment complexes. Up to you to decide if you like that living arrangement but it lowers prices.

I didn’t know it didn’t use email at first. Mine had an inaccessible email and I was able to recover my account a few years ago by giving the support info about it, like people’s names in my contact list. It was fun for 3 seconds and I haven’t returned since.

Switched to lemmy 100% after 17+ years of reddit, daily user. I think it’s ok but increasingly getting annoyed with a couple things. The rampant extreme politics and phrasing as if it’s fact, and people complain about cross posts but I literally see the same exact posts (same community) over and over as I scroll through the feed. Other than that it doesn’t nearly have much content but that’s to be expected.

Honestly I never really saw the point of it, just seems like another dependency. The compose file and the docket run commands have almost the same info. I’d rather jump to kubectl and skip compose entirely. I’d like to see a tool that can convert between these 3 formats for you. As for piping into bash, no - I’d only do it on a very trusted package.
Isn’t that akin to security through obscurity… you might want one more layer of defense
