The vast majority of people (i include myself in this) will fuck it up in some way and end up harming themselves. If you seek to destroy someone’s life and you don’t actually end it, you leave behind someone who has nothing left to lose and is highly motivated to find who is responsible.

Simply put.

We wouldn’t notice anything.

Our perception of the world would be based only on the compute cycles and not on any external time-frame.

The machine could run at a Million Billion hertz or at one clock-cycle per century and your perception of time inside the machine would be the same.

Same with low ram, we would have no indication if we were constantly being paged out to a hard drive and written back to ram as required.

And the people who designed this promotion are also not as smart as they think they are.

Now, the OP could have missed something in the T&Cs but based on what they have said, they are not doing anything illegal.

I spent a decade working in insolvency.

When we were going into a business that had failed the question was “Are the idiots, criminals or both?”

One highlight:

A boat sales / marine business goes bust. When we arrive with the paper work and seize the place there are about a dozen new boats on the lot worth several million. We change the locks on the gates.

Arrive the next day, the gates have been busted open and several million in boats are now missing. We look up the addresses of the owners (one of them lives on acreage) and drive to their property…from the road we can see the boats stashed there. Really smart guys.

So we call the police. Someone inside notices use there and decides to flee with one of the boats, it is huge but they think they can get away.

We then have the slowest car chase in history as we calmly follow this guy towing a boat on a trailer down the road while talking to the cops to meet us.

And what?

Hoping people will change is a fools game. If a group of people have turned into people you don’t want to be around anymore and you have expressed the issues to them and they do not see the problem or did not attempt to change.

Cut you losses.

Find people whose values and outlook you do agree with and invest time creating new friendships and connections.

If people see the problem guy getting called out then they’ll reflect on themselves.

Or they won’t and at least you will know it is time to move on,

An artist should have the right to copyright their work for a reasonable time to be able to profit from it. Say 25 years, after that is becomes public domaine.

Copyright should not be transferable nor inheritable.
