  • What avenues of escalation are left to Putin? 80% of his army is tied up in Ukraine, the rest is needed for border patrol. All russian men that would join the army voluntarily have already joined, so a big mobilization would see the support for the war plummet. And after that, all that is left is the big N word. And there are plenty of reasons why Putin doesn’t want to use those.

On the other hand, letting Ukraine lose will lead to much more instability in the future.

Edit: above comment accused ‘lefties’ of wanting WW3.

  • I can picture the whole interview already.

Tucker: “Mr. Putin, why did you invade Ukraine?”

Putin: “We had many very legitimate reasons. Ukrainian nazis, US imperialism, NATO expansion.”

Tucker: “What will it take for you to stop this war? Will you guarantee peace?”

Putin: “We are a very rational and forgiving people. We ask for nothing but the unconditional surrender of Ukraine. We will treat everyone with respect and we won’t meddle with any other country outside Ukraine. KGB spy pinky-promise.”

Tucker: “Mr. Putin, may I suck your cock?”

    Putin: “You may.”

  • In theory at least, online services would be more safe than a locally decrypted vault. If your computer is compromised, the bad actors can pull your encrypted vault for an unlimited brute force attack. Of course, this can be mitigated by increasing the decryption time. However, if your vault is already decrypted, then bad actors can just pull all your password from your memory.

I, for one, am decrypting my vault once when I start my PC. In theory, if I were to use an online solution, bad actors wouldn’t be able to pull my vault from memory.
