That’s what I wanted to write as well. This smells like a self-report.

Shows that there are enough people so desparate to be lead, that they’ll follow anyone, as long as they are confident and unapologetic. And then there are the grifters that’ll do anything for clout and money. Trump supporters have shown themselves to be naive and easily manipilated, so those grifters flock to pander to them.
What avenues of escalation are left to Putin? 80% of his army is tied up in Ukraine, the rest is needed for border patrol. All russian men that would join the army voluntarily have already joined, so a big mobilization would see the support for the war plummet. And after that, all that is left is the big N word. And there are plenty of reasons why Putin doesn’t want to use those.
On the other hand, letting Ukraine lose will lead to much more instability in the future.
Edit: above comment accused ‘lefties’ of wanting WW3.
I think that is the biggest issue with Mastodon and federation in general: Limited discoverability. I’ve spoken to a few artists that still post on Twitter. They won’t join Mastodon, because it is so hard to develop consistent reach.
I read that rural voters often feel like the government isn’t for them, they feel disempowered. And in response, they seek to undermine and break the system that disempowers them. They do not look to improve or change the system, they want to destroy it. So when people yell at them for threatening democracy by voting for a lunatic with dictator fantasies, they feel empowered.
It says that there is a Russian law that forces Ukrainans to take on a Russian passport by threatening to deport or incarcerate them for not having a Russian passport! The paragraph describes exactly what you claimed, but for Russia, not Ukraine.
You must be a troll checking if anyone is reading the articles you linked, right? This has to be an elaborate joke, right?
Per the very article you linked:
The timeline continues ahead to July 2024, when, according to new Russian laws, residents without Russian citizenship would be considered “foreigners” or “stateless” and can be detained in detention facilities and/or deported to Russia.
I can picture the whole interview already.
Tucker: “Mr. Putin, why did you invade Ukraine?”
Putin: “We had many very legitimate reasons. Ukrainian nazis, US imperialism, NATO expansion.”
Tucker: “What will it take for you to stop this war? Will you guarantee peace?”
Putin: “We are a very rational and forgiving people. We ask for nothing but the unconditional surrender of Ukraine. We will treat everyone with respect and we won’t meddle with any other country outside Ukraine. KGB spy pinky-promise.”
Tucker: “Mr. Putin, may I suck your cock?”
Putin: “You may.”

In theory at least, online services would be more safe than a locally decrypted vault. If your computer is compromised, the bad actors can pull your encrypted vault for an unlimited brute force attack. Of course, this can be mitigated by increasing the decryption time. However, if your vault is already decrypted, then bad actors can just pull all your password from your memory.
I, for one, am decrypting my vault once when I start my PC. In theory, if I were to use an online solution, bad actors wouldn’t be able to pull my vault from memory.
I’d guess not, at least without root, as Texmux is still an app and Android won’t allow apps that much control over the phone.
He can leave for Russia. I hear they have great real estate. Big windows. To fall for.
