This is way too overkill, simply use WebDAV
So this is the kind of stuff i see when sorting by All + New
No offense to our brothers and sisters in the fediverse, but kbin.social surely has a lot of spam coming out… it’s a very popular instance and that attracts a lot of dickheads.
12,363 and counting for us lol… it’s stressful sometimes but i am super happy with our community. Most reports actually are about others content interestingly enough
Admin of lemmy.dbzer0.com here and yeah i can confirm it’s from instances with open registration. Also most of them are smaller instances that aren’t that well maintained and will probably feel the consequence by being blocked by other instances…
And kbin.social 🤦
Yeah according to the other comments i’ll go with immich as the main photo storage and just sync them over to nextcloud via external storage connection.
Thanks!

As of this moment, it is broken though as they rebuild the project to use wolf instead of sunshine.
But the maintainer says they will be releasing in a few days; I talked to them and they helped me spin up the development version and that works really good! (still missing controller passthrough though :D)
yeah but i don’t want to run it as a direct application.
My server is run entirely via docker and i want all my hosted stuff to be docker. And their docker setup requires a lot of manual setup, building your own image and all of that…
i will go for https://games-on-whales.github.io/gow/running.html
Got it, thanks!
What would my advantages be here after using the patches?
I plan to only connect one single client to my host at any given moment. So i don’t think i need the restrictions lifted i guess?
I’ve got my GPU running in docker when i wanted to use hw transcoding on my Plex docker. So this is already cleared.
I’ve researched a bit since posting and found that using sunshine directly is not the easiest route to pick here since their docker installation is still in early development and involves a lot of manual config and setup.
I’ll go with https://games-on-whales.github.io/gow/running.html as they use sunshine but deliver a nearly completely configured docker-compose environment.
I ordered a HDMI dummy plug that i can use.
Issue is that the host i plan to use is a headless ubuntu server. No DE, No Monitor.

It appears as if you misunderstood my post…
I currently DONT have gamestreaming from my Ubuntu Server to the minisforum. I WANT to have it but i don’t know how to properly set it up. I tried several installs of sunshine but it fails everytime on encoders… and the docker support is very manual at the moment.
The performance issues i have on BG3 are running directly on the minisforum thats why i want to run it on the server instead.
So basically my post is asking for help on setting up sunshine on my ubuntu server
The aqara plugs do have power monitoring but afaik it’s borked with ZHA unless you write your own quirks file…
Interesting.
I remember having constant disconnects with my several aqara devices when i only had a path of bulbs to connect to. Those bulbs have constant power and are not turned off.
And when checking ZHA visualization i saw that they don’t connect to the bulbs but rather tried to connect directly to my stick but only got minimal connection because of the distance. No matter what i tried, they would not connect to the bulbs
Interesting… are you using Zigbee2MQTT? Because i am on ZHA and looking at my network visualization none of my aqara devices connect to the IKEA bulbs. Only other IKEA bulbs connect to them in my case.
I have some temperature sensors from aqara, some movement sensors and some multi buttons and they didn’t connect to them. I had to buy some smart-plugs to act as repeaters.
Every single bulb in my home is from IKEA and i was really happy with how easily they are to be integrated.
Sadly they aren’t repeaters for the regular zigbee network, only for other IKEA devices.
Offgrid Internet… Hmmmm
