Red states already suck and Texas oil isn’t about to solve that problem for the rest of them. They’d crumble immediately.

You mean all the people screaming about it and Trump himself calling him “sleepy joe” and all the progressives who begrudgingly voted for him while always prefacing it with “he’s not really fit for it and I don’t like him but literally there are no other options”? Those “no ones”?
Yea, buddy, if you had plugged your ears and looked away I’m sure it’s remarkably easy to pretend like no one was saying anything.
What? What is that first sentence even supposed to mean?
Sure, but that doesn’t excuse anything. And if a solution looks to good to be true then you gotta back it up with studies and trials and evidence not just feelings and decades of complete failure. UBI is an elegant and simple solution and tests for it have gone well. Getting rid of regulations and taxes and expecting trickle down economics and the free market to make everything wonderful is the realm of the stupid and insane.
So even if it is “most people” there’re still two groups within it.
They desperate for the world to be simple so that their simple, “elegant” solution and “clean, traditional living” or whatever the hell else they got going on is justified. But also they’ll ignore any times that indigineous are right about things like caring for the environment in simple, clean ways.
Put it short, they just want to be validated without putting any work in. Saw too many movies they thought were documentaries.
Yes, the other 60% is doing such a great job. So great that half of them, or more, is actuvely enabling the especially bad 40%.
People in the US love to talk about how morally correct they are as if it allows them to not have to take responsibility. Sorry life isn’t perfectly comfortable and, by the way, the rest of the world interacts with the crazy fascist government and not a couple of the nice people. “The US” is a shitty place full of shitty people and it does shitty things. I’m sorry a lot of good people live there also and have to go through this shit but trying to act like we don’t know they’re there as if that’s our problem doesn’t help anyone.
I imagine Texas, maybe, but it’s a gas station at that point I’d imagine as things that are different to that would probably want to leave.
A lot of everywhere else would be a whole mess with progressive cities being screwed by the rest of the state with many of them leaving before the borders close and those that couldn’t being trapped in hell.
Oh god are you really bringing up a “women do it to” point completely unprompted?
As for the other quote, yes I clearly missed that. Still, I’m not sure what it has to do with the Seinfeld thing even though it is tangentially related.
As for “being attracted to fertility” and whatever…yea that’s not it, chief. Maybe I’m of the group that doesn’t see it that way but I’m 30 and I see someone ~25 and under and I see a child, not someone I should be sexually attracted to. Certainly not someone who I’d actually give that kind of attention to. I’m more than monkey brain, and maybe most people aren’t but we trust them to have jobs and shit so they should be able to handle this, too.
Ok, so the guy goes for as young as he possibly can and we’re going to assume that that confirms that he wouldn’t going any younger if he could? That’s the thin ice I’m talking about. I agree that we cannot call him a pedophile because there is no direct evidence of it, I’m on board with that, but his actions are not doing a lot for him. If he said “oh yea I like 24 year olds and older” that’s still weird for his age but it shows that his limit is a personal one and not a legal one.
It’s also weird that he says he could love someone whole-heartedly but also couldn’t properly communicate with her on more nuanced topics. Like, what made this minor so great and why could he not find that in anyone between 30-45y/o?
While agree that words should have meanings, he definitely still was nearly 40 and apparently preferring the company of a 17 year old. Not a pedo by the evidence presented, ok, but that ice is thin.
Sorta. A lot of people are victims of attacks and don’t deserve it. I mean these goons definitely deserve it, though I’d like to see the US have systems to punish them legally and not need to turn to shootings to fix problems.
They’re the same people who think it’s the Palestinians who are the attackers. They’re classic, boring, textbook bullies who don’t like it when the kid they’re torturing gives a free one to the nose and so they run to the teacher crying.
It wasn’t a war before because no one was standing up to them. They got to be violent without a care in the world and now they’re in danger.
Also pick a year and there has been political violence, especially with conservatives in charge. Minorities have suffered under political violence so much that it’s given them collective generational trauma.
Conservatives are finally getting what they asked for and they’re even getting it in the way they asked for, which is delightfully poetic. If guns are to be used against tyrrany then I guess we get to see Kirk’s blood fall out his neck instead of his trial.
It’s here for white conservatives and suddenly everyone, even passionate progressives I know, are acting like it’s a new thing.
Lol this wasn’t in cold blood. Kirk spent his life fueling hatred that led to very real consequences for a lot of innocent people.
You know who kills people in cold blood? Cops shooting minorities while breaking into the wrong address. People killing black kids who politely ring their doorbell. A cop kneeling on a man’s neck until he dies over $20. A health insurance company deciding you don’t need a treatment that your doctor is saying you need. That is killing in cold blood.
Literally a few of them complained that individual donations were paying them more than lobbyists. They don’t want any money, they want corpo money.
The cult will, of course, claim that a Democrat, even one of the conservative ones, wanting to feed children is actually going to lead to everyone dying.
True true.
Imthe fact that any kind of offical debate can be “won” by shouting over people is in itself a sign that the whole affair is worthless.
