Ed, Edd, and Eddie
Courage the Cowardly Dog
Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald
The whole album Days of Future’s Past by the Moody Blues (with the London orchestra)
Up Above the Northern Lights. Believe that’s a Mannheim Steamroller
I was deployed and got a box from my home unit that was basically just trash. I think it was supposed to be funny, but it was just a lot of scrap paper thrown into a box. Nothing written on them that was for me. Nothing to signal anything. Just a big box of trash that could have been nothing more than the recycling bin upended into it.
That was pretty heartbreaking.
I feel like Mr. Bones’ Wild Ride could qualify. If only in a sort of existential crisis kind of way.
Maybe Loss?
I ran up to my mom once, completely serious and said, “Mom! I know why all fat people are short. They use up all their skin!”
I felt like a genius until she laughed so hard she fell on the floor and peed a little.
Honestly, sticking my head in the sand in a way. I deleted all social media from my phone (minus Lemmy) and un-joined any news communities on here. I’m trying to keep my world smaller so I can stay sane and keep those dearest to me taken care of as best as I can.
Honestly, it’s worked a treat. I feel a little guilty for not rallying for the cause or keeping up with the world, but it’s just too much.
I bought tickets for a concert for us both provided she drive. She never showed up and didn’t answer her phone or anything but was somehow mad at me a few days later.
The latest Tool album.
I can’t even remember the name, but it felt like a lot of noise from an alley full of garbage cans. I don’t know if I finished listening to it.
Early 30s /F / North America
I’m close to the right demographic, but for the missing appendage.
I only post or reply on Lemmy, but I do have Stealth for Reddit still for those really bad doom scrolling days.
Are you a field mouse?
What are some of your favorites? I adore folk and am always looking for more recommendations
I would recommend The Arcadian Wild
It’s hard to pick a favorite, but right now I’m really into Funk. Funk as a whole, definitely, but the subsect that is Bubblegum Funk is just so relaxing and chill, I’ve been listening to it while working lately.
Built a new computer last year and didn’t want anything to do with win11, so I switched to Linux Mint. I really like it, and there’s a lot of help all around online. Thankfully because of Proton, I haven’t had any trouble playing any game yet. It’s been great!
I do miss ClipStudio for painting and OneNote for ttrpg notes, but I’ve been making due with Krita and Notion.
Honestly, just where I’m at in life. I’ve been pulling myself up by my bootstraps for all my life.
Grew up in bumfuck poorsville with abusive parents, joined the military, did some cool stuff, left and went to college, bought a house, graduated, sold the house, moved across country, got a job with my degree, and found a solid friendship group who encourage and care for me and vice versa.
This is all while suffering from an unseen disease that I was finally diagnosed with while in college and have been fighting against ever since.
I am proud of my achievements and I can really say to myself that I made it, despite everything, I made it.
I’ve seen this one recommended a bunch, but I always thought it was a documentary. Interesting. I’ll give it a watch.
I am too lazy to change the formatting, but those are my notes on the movies I’ve seen this summer… some of them I remember better than others, and I’ve definitely forgotten to include quite a few on here.

This drives me insane. The 5 gal jugs are so cheap to refill and keep using. I used one of those with a hand pump and a thin 1.5 gal jugs for my fridge for constant cold water when I lived where tap water wasn’t doable. It was like 10¢ a gallon to refill the jugs and I always had delicious cold water at the ready. There is absolutely no need to create so much waste
