I think he’s always been a bit of an asshole, but he’s a charming asshole and sometimes the things he says are on point. Other times he’s just being an asshole though, but I still find that entertaining for the most part.

Because of minstrel shows. These were only really in America, so it’s not part of European culture.
When Cohn was diagnosed with AIDS and outed as a gay man, Trump abandoned him cold.
Supposedly there are conflicting stories about that. I forget the exact details but basically as I recall there are two sources, I think the switchboard operator and the secretary. One says he stopped speaking to him altogether and the other says they kept talking, Trump was the last person to speak to him before he died and all Trump did was move his legal matters to an attorney who wasn’t literally dying.
and that the animal [dog] later attacked and killed a neighbor’s chickens.
Killing the neighbour’s pets is a little bit more than misbehaving. That’s the sort of thing dogs get put down for.
Going on to kill the goat the same day shows that she’s evil, possibly even psychopathic. And then she admits that she’s not that good of a politician, as well as a bad shot.
Or, they could do one assassination and then step down, thereby dodging any impeachment and being immune to any further litigation.
Is the President also in charge of the Secret Service?
The best one is that he argues only the senate/congress can rule he’s broken the law, and only while he’s president. So in his world he could assassinate someone, leave the presidency and then get away Scott free.
Put him in jail already.
Ohh, nice one!
The first convention is common in English-speaking countries, but the latter is favoured in, for example, Sweden (tvåtusentalet, which translates literally as the two thousands period).
I’m not sure that’s entirely true, most people in English speaking countries (and the world over) celebrated the millenium at the beginning of the year 2000.
That seems to be a recurring theme with right-wing supporters, they dream of it one day being their turn - no matter how far-fetched that may be.
That makes sense, but trying to square that off with the idea that the year 2000 is the start of the 21st century is hurting my head.
If year 1 is the 1st year, then surely the first year of the 21st century should be 2001?
Because the data is worth quite a bit of money - more than people realise, otherwise these companies would be paying us for it.
See now this is a good article about these legal proceedings. It actually explains the detail that isn’t apparent to non-lawyers and gives an overview of the potential outcomes, rather than a retired lawyer just speculating and jerking themselves off over what might happen.
Only six invitees showed up
Ahmad said Biden’s opening remarks at the event did not mention Gaza, famine, or the potential invasion of Rafah.
The event was repurposed from a general celebration marking the end of Ramadan
This article is really trying to frame this as something more sinister than a publicity event being poorly attended and diverted off its intended course.
If we’re going to deport actual American citizens then Maddock should be right near the top of the list.
the one with the most ability to act on his own
Maybe 3 years ago he would’ve been, but right now, with an election coming up against Trump and his Maggats, he’s in a very precarious position.
He’s the leader of the party, but this had bipartisan support.
I’m not saying he’s not responsible, just that they all are. Also he has to be careful with it being election year and being up against Trump.
He’s definitely culpable, but he’s far from the only one.
Any comment on the fact that donors paying for aid to UNRWA wanted this, or that it was bipartisan and - as you just pointed out - it was Congress that put it in the budget?
Why is everything all Biden’s fault, when you have already said in multiple points that other people were pushing for it also?
I mean, a jellyfin server is typically full of copyright protected material. I also wouldn’t expect them to notify you in advance, however they should still send some notice when they stop providing the service you’ve paid for.
