You can’t have “a kids”. You can have “a kid” or “kids”, but not “a kids”.
Not me, but for my older brother, my mom was considering the name Chad.
I wonder how that would have worked out, with the memes and all.
Back in December I spent $550 on a refurbrished home theater projector. After actually thinking things through, I realized that in my current living situation, the whole idea isn’t going to work. I went back to watching movies on my TV and sometimes even my monitor.
I still haven’t taken the projector out of the plastic wrapping, and I’ve been contemplating re-selling it on eBay so I can at least get my money back…but I highly doubt that will happen.
Modern electronic music is the spiritual successor to classical music
I don’t disagree, but can you explain your reasoning behind this?
Donations are the best way to keep all the Lemmy instances running.
If every active user donated just $5 a month, Lemmy would be able to thrive for years to come.
If Wikipedia can do it, why can’t Lemmy?
Astrology, biology, and geology. I find space, life, and the terrain very fascinating.
EDIT: Can’t forget about psychology! It’s interesting how the human brain works.
Sounds like you need uBlock Origin or Invidious/NewPipe.
You are being paranoid.
Assuming you’re using Github to publish your own free and open-source software, remember that this is one of the basic tenets of FOSS:
The freedom to run the program as you wish, for any purpose
Even purposes you don’t like or agree with.
If you’re worried about megacorps stealing your code without giving you credit, just licence your code under the GPL or AGPL. They won’t touch it with a 10-foot pole.
Sometimes I just don’t want my comments to live forever and deleting shouldn’t be impossible.
Due to the nature of the Fediverse, this will be very difficult if not impossible to implement/enforce.

Jerboa.
I already use it and have never heard of Boost.
Not really. I watch YouTube videos with Invidious and yt-dlp, I lurk Reddit through RedReader, and I occasionally lurk Twitter through Nitter (but only very briefly). Lemmy is the only social media that I actively partake/interfere in.
“I was elected to lead, not to read.”
It can be easy to feel like a drop of water in a large ocean when it comes to national elections. But you should also vote in your county and state elections; you can probably make more of a difference there.
I’m not saying “don’t vote in the national election”, but just know that there are other elections to vote in, and thry are just as important as the nationals.
I just started being more conscious of my body and how I clean it. Showered more frequently and used more deodorant. Now, going commando is the norm for me and I barely even think about underwear anymore.
You know how Ctrl+F helps you find specific words in browsers? I want that in real life.
Maybe some special glasses with this ability built-in?

Before I even put the discs in my player, I put them in my Blu-ray drive and make a backup with MakeMKV. If the keys to remove the DRM aren’t available, I’ll just torrent the BDMV. After the discs have been backed up, I watch them on my player.
Anachronism?
