Include my commute time in my 7 hours of work a day. I’m not driving out of my own love of it, I’m driving because you’re requiring me to be in the office so it should count as time on your clock, not mine.
Also pay for my parking at work, and my petrol to get there and back.
There are renewable resource based plastics, like PLA that is used in 3D printers.
I’m all for it. Any problem dogs won’t be allowed back in, and it’s nice having man’s best friend in the office.
In Australia - nothing. We generally call them universities, but some call themselves colleges.
Sorry I meant to say admins and mods.
Yeh for the last few years especially of my using Reddit I would only ever go directly to the 4-5 subs that I frequented. Never once went to the home page/“all”, or the new discover page or whatever it is.
For now I’m using All on here to try and find some communities to join, and which ones to block. I’d say in a few months I’ll just be using Subscribed.
It’s “starting off” by being flooded with admins and mods* from reddit, many of which didn’t listen to their communities and were power hungry. Lemmy today is basically reddit 2.0 but with growing pains and teething issues.
Have a look at the mod log for MaliciousCompliance on Lemmy.world if you want to see censorship and extreme mod abuse.

If you dare say “biological sex exists and is different to gender” - a pretty factual statement that not even trans people would deny - you’ll have your comment deleted and be banned.
Have to hope those same power tripping mods aren’t also mods in many other subs, but unfortunately the most active one doing all the censoring and banning is.
Now the internet feels like a tool to enslave the mind with identity echo chambers and any deviation leads you to being banned and blocked shunned and silenced within a void that is inescapable
This so much. Go against the narrative and you’re banned even for breaking no rules. Reddit is in the endgame of this at the moment. The admins and their power mods decide on the narrative and if you don’t play along and circle jerk you get banned, often from subs you have never even been to.
Unfortunately in my short time here I’m seeing much the same, though at least the bannings aren’t at the same extent yet. Give it time though.
Teeth is the one you’re after.
3 - this one is my main one, then one on kbin.social and one on lemmy.world. When I created the other 2 I basically couldn’t log in to them because the servers were too overloaded, but this one let me straight in so this is my main one now.
I’d do what Mark Cuban did with his Cost Plus Drug Company, which sells everything on it at cost + 15%, but for other essential products as well. I’d open up all types of stores that sell necessities - petrol, groceries, medication, plants, technology items, books, etc - at cost + whatever the lowest margin mark up I could get away with. The goal would be to drive prices down everywhere, not just at my stores. I’d also spend big on lobbying/campaigning for better legislation and regulation around essential goods and services.
Low cost public housing would be another area. Buying up land to build low cost housing estates with all the facilities and amenities needed.
Obviously it goes without saying I’d set up everyone of my family and close friends for life too.
It’s not bad, but the “compact” view is in no way compact. On liftoff on iOS I can see maybe 4 posts versus on Memmy I can see almost double that. The thumbnails need to be in line with the title and content, not just the content.
Visual Studio and VS Code.
So what do you believe should be done for the people that break laws that you don’t deem prison worthy?
