Jurors HATE this one weird trick!
Jurors HATE this one weird trick!
I’ve got one of these! It’s a beautiful ring, but more prone to damage than a metal ring. After 5 years of daily use, it has some visible scrapes. I use a silicone ring daily now, and just wear this one for weddings and stuff.
It’s basically been in process for decades. Pipes in the ground can last 50 years, so replacement of ones put in the ground in the early 80s are due to be replaced now. Each state has a Drinking Water State Revolving Fund program that gets funding from the EPA to replace waterlines. Until recently, the money has been focused on the oldest or most needed projects (some of which are lead), but this recent push has aimed to target specifically all lead lines in the ground.
AFAIK this is an additional $3B. The BIL has already been funding projects for 2 years, and every state is already in the process of identifying all of their lead service lines. Each waterworks is required to at least have an inventory by October.
And that’s in addition to multiple other infrastructure projects from this administration, including ARPA.
As a not-so-young-anymore young person, I’ve always said “no problem” for exactly this reason
The biggest campaign disaster is not touting the monumental investments in infrastructure. You almost certainly have a water line replacement, lead service line replacement, or bridge reconstruction project in your town funded by Biden.
Even in death, I serve
Except “woman” has always meant “adult presenting as female”
Unless you’re someone’s doctor, it’s almost never relevant to discuss someone’s sex. Gender is how we refer to people in most contexts, and when it’s important (e.g. discussing pregnancy) it’s not rude to make a distinction.
Classic facts > feelings sentiments from a conservative~
This was just the primary
A big part of it is how the media portrays the divide. Even the conservatives I talk to have a bit of nuance in their views; they’re not Alex Jones screeching about psychic vampire pedophiles.
But the nuance is secondary to herd mentality. They’ll support calling frozen embryos babies because it helps their cause of banning abortion.
So, the core issue is still tribalism, and that’s not ever going away, given the media landscape we live in now.
You heard em folks, burn all the “Kiss me I’m Irish” shirts for being un-American
See lava. I have a trip to Hawaii coming up :D
Thankfully I only have a 2 mile commute through a small town so I don’t deal with road rage. I could never live in a city.
But yeah, it’s really just that people are strung out and road rage is just a symptom. Either way, it’s dangerous for the driver and others.
Whoa buddy, you good to drive? XD
Beef. Starts out as a feud between two drivers. Delves into each of their lives and how dealing with your issues in an unhealthy way will spiral and affect others. Fantastic show.
Yeah, you obviously can’t code for infinite possibility, so it just has to be robust enough. And the first step would be text-based. “I walk into the tavern” “There’s a fight happening / it’s now owned by someone else / bartender asks if you want the usual” kind of thing. Biggest hurdle is having a persistent and cohesive world.
Given the advancement of image/song/code generation, I think it’s not out of the realm of possibility for a game to be truly limitless. Just not remotely any time soon.
I think this will happen in a decade or so. We have stuff like AI dungeon now, so people definitely want this (even though most people use it for sex stuff currently)
I have the same desire. It would be awesome to play a co-op D&D campain with an AI dungeon master in a living world. It generates quests and scenarios on the fly, keeps track of your actions, always able to adapt to the changing landscape.
It means you should get a colonoscopy
