Oh, I whole heartily agree. There is a lot tit for tat in politics. And rules are meant to be bent and twisted to one’s own end. It could end up being a slippery slope as easily as not.

He IS a felon. But while he went through the impeachment process several times, he was never convicted. And there is no rule or law that says a felon can’t be president.

While voting for Trump, or even entertaining his views, is a red flag warning. Like it or not, he is legally entitled to run. Perhaps the rules and laws should be changed. But to do that would require either a unified congress or a super majority of a party willing to do so. And I suspect, that as it currently stands, neither side wants to limit themselves from gaining the power and status of national or state office brings to them for any reason.

The same can be said of any place the US has a political/military presence.

It is still the focal point of US presence in the middle east for all the surrounding nations. Israel is synonymous with US power in the region.

Israel itself means little to the US. It’s merely the conduit through which the US Geo-political power gets channeled through in the Middle East at the moment. The moment that Israel become more burden than value, they will be dropped and abandoned like many of nations/regions across the planet.

I don’t think Melania cares. If she did. she would have sued him long ago. She got what she wanted out of Trump in other ways and is still getting it.

This ain’t no big revelation to anyone. Since the 1960’s Republicans have relied on liberal voter’s apathy to win seats in government. It’s liberalism’s greatest weakness and failure - the belief that someone else should be responsible because they can’t be bothered.

I think I read a CNN blurb article that insinuated that they don’t want to really go after Trump’s real estate. But they will if necessary. Because it’s a lot of work and delays to do, due to other creditors having liens so they feel that the return on the effort won’t be good enough.

They want the cash and liquid assets they can more easily get and convert first. And if they get those assets, then Trump will probably need to sell a chunk of his real estate to cover his loans and all his creditors can then start fighting over the carcass.

Those touch screens are all a part of the accessories. And I dislike them intensely also. I also find it very disheartening that in some new cars a software up date is needed to make the dock locks work. A friend had to take his mother’s Kia in to rematch the door locks to a new key. They needed to remove the door handles and plug them into a computer to do so.

The last new car I bought, (2015 Jeep Patriot), made me search EVERY car dealer in 2 states before I found one that had manual door locks and manual windows. I often haul dogs around with me and while they are quite good at locking doors and rolling up windows, they really, really suck at rolling them down or unlocking the doors. It took me a couple of months of weekly searching to finally find one for sale.

“Dumb car” is kind of relative. Computer engine controls have been around since the mid 1970’s. And while the first ones were not very good, they have become pretty darned reliable over the intervening years. And as someone who has owned cars and other heavy equipment with mechanical points and down draft and up draft carburetors, you won’t ever see me willingly own a car with any of that anymore.

If you really want to minimize the electronics as much as possible, look at 1990’s to no later than 2010 models.

Though to be fair, much of the problems with cars are caused by the accessories like power windows, door locks, air conditioning, and power seats. Those are far more problematic than the basic car itself.

The point is, you COULD run a marathon if that’s what you decide to do. But you would need to learn something new and frankly most people are too lazy to do so. And I can often fall squarely into that just like most. But I’m under no illusions that it’s my lazy choice to not run a marathon.

That is an issue more with owners who don’t know better or are just lazy and poor at training rather than the dogs themselves. All dogs do better with activity, but even Border collies, (Long ago and far away I owned, trained and worked a pair), don’t work all day long every day. Most days they might do 30 minutes of actual work. The rest of their time is spent lounging in the sun or shade. So it’s less about energy and more about training. The one thing a working breed from a proper bloodline has over a lot of rescues is tractability. No matter how “high powered” they might be, if they are not willing to easily do your bidding, even at a long distances, they are worthless. Tractability means as much or more than drive.

Again, don’t get me wrong. Rescues deserve and need a loving home as much as you or me. I have a rescue dog myself. His only requirement is to do tippytaps for his kibble, soak up butt rubs, (because who among us does not love a good butt rub), and keep my feet warm over the winter. But he came from a harsh place and was a very stubborn and willful dog to work with. It took me nearly 2 years of training effort to get to the lovable house pet he has become. And I’m a very highly and experienced trainer - more so than the vast majority.

Your dog is a reflection of its owner/handler/trainer.

I own and train hunting dogs for upland and waterfowl hunting. I’ve also done breeding in my younger days. Bloodlines absolutely matter. A puppy from National Champion bloodlines has a far, far better chance of being very good at his job. This goes for ANY working breed that is actually expected to work at their job in real life. And they cost a LOT of money to buy, train, and maintain. But these aren’t foo-foo dogs bred strictly for looks either.

If all you need is a popcorn and movie and sleep on the bed pet, then it doesn’t probably matter very much. Find a nice rescue - they need a home and love too.
