As others have pointed out, CloudFlare doesn’t sell .ca domain names due to the ownership restrictions applied by CIRA. I’ve personally used Web Hosting Canada (WHC.ca) for many years, including their hosting for a while. I also have a couple of domains with Register.ca.
I then use DuckDNS for dynamic updates and the free tier of CloudFlare for security certificates and some simple access rules.
I’m one of the few that don’t work in tech but it’s arguably the hobby I spend the most time (and money) with so I’m not sure if I really count. I work in emergency management & specialized response services.
Seconding Zotero. I truly don’t know how I would be able to keep track of all the research I read through and reference. I especially love that I can highlight passages and attach notes to each entry right inside the desktop app.
The browser connector is also super handy for quickly adding papers to read-through at a later date.

I went from an i5-7600K to an i5-13600K and the performance improvement has been worth every penny. Obviously a bit of a different upgrade than what you asked so it’s hard for me to say if it’s worth it in your case.
That being said the significant upgrade in core count has helped a ton, I usually have around 30 docker containers running and haven’t had any performance issues, previously my whole server would lock up when any docker ran an intensive process unless I pinned cores for unraid itself. Ive also seen a huge improvement with transcoding due to the improved iGPU but I think that was the same one in the 12th gen so you probably wouldn’t see value there.
Most professions where action/inaction can result in damages will have similar insurance. Some insurance firms even specialize in coverage for professionals.
If your profession has an association or similar group, they should be able to help you find those firms if they exist.

For self hosting I’d recommend either one of the Meshify 2 or Define 7, depending on local price and your specific needs. I personally went with the Meshify 2 XL and was blown away by the quality of the case. It’s built well and allows for a variety of configurations. It also makes maintenance very easy as the filters and side panels can all be removed without any tool to handle dust build up.
Seconding the recommendation for FreshRSS, it’s the one I ended up hosting when I looked into this a while back and it’s been really great. Takes a minute to get everything setup, especially if you want to have different settings for different types of feeds, but once it’s all set it’s perfect (for my needs at least).
I’ve also got it setup with my domain so I can access the feed from anywhere and that’s been one of my favourite features.
Scrubs completely captured what it feels like to work in healthcare. It’s the only medical TV show that I not only managed to finish but actually rewatch often.
This is the most likely culprit. My cache has about 200 GB and Plex is just over 75 GB.
Another thing to check is your vDisk size in your docker settings.
Zotero is such a lifesaver. I started using it to allow for easier citations and reference lists but I’ve loved being able to keep my sources organized and saved in one place while doing research. The browser extensions are also super convenient to save everything to sort later on.
I’ve always loved our toonie as well, the two different metals just looks so great. The black ones for remembrance of QEII are especially nice.
I personally have always loved our money in general, a lot of it stands out quite a bit. I do find it quite funny though that even with such unique physical money, we are one of the most cashless countries in the world.
I loved SCC, it was such a great show that didn’t get the attention it deserved.
I used to stream a bit back in the justin.tv days and I would usually only get a handful of viewers but even to this day, it was some of the most unique gaming experiences I had. I used to try and play games that no one was streaming/talking about and a couple of times I actually ended up with the devs watching the stream and those were such great memories.
One time, I played this flash game where you had timed “lives” and the dev was watching (without me knowing) when I ran out of lives. I mentioned I’d be going to play something else while I waited for my lives to come back and he sent me a DM telling me that he would go and remove the timer so I could keep playing if I wanted.
That being said, I haven’t streamed since then and I’m honestly not even sure how I’d start again. I don’t think I’d ever enjoy having a large audience but I definitely enjoyed playing with a few people helping out on what to do next.

Back when I was on iOS, I started with Alien Blue, then I moved to Apollo when reddit purchased it.
After I switched to android, I settled on Sync and Boost. I used Sync about 90% of the time but I had my alts on Boost and would have different feeds split between the apps. The last few versions of Boost had gotten me to start thinking about using it more but then the API changes were announced.
Personally I use it for a couple services that would be difficult to run separately (ie: deemix + lidarr). I’m also planning on moving all of my services with databases over to compose. I do lose a couple other QOL features but I still prefer this approach to start/stop all related containers instead of manually having to close each one.
That’s also because a lot of mods used the API to detect bots and other malicious users. These tools were removed so even if the mods didn’t leave, they are now significantly less effective.
I actually find that I use my phone less when I’m wearing my smartwatch than when I’m not. When notifications come in, I need to make sure it’s not work related or something else that requires my immediate attention. If I check a notification on my phone, I’m much more likely to end up doing something else at the same time. Whereas if I check my watch, I don’t have any incentive to do anything else.
I work in emergency management but I’ve always been interested in tech as a hobby. That led me to start self-hosting Plex on my desktop about 6-7 years ago. Now I’ve got a dedicated machine running unraid with about 20 to 30 different docker services.
I really enjoy being able to figure out how to setup a service and then being able to be fully in control of how it works. Beyond just enjoying tinkering with the system to learn, I enjoy being able to troubleshoot and fix problems without relying on large companies.
