Employees don’t pay for stock in an ESOP; they’re earned by being employed there (with different options for how they’re divided, but restrictions so they aren’t excessively dominated by the highest earners).

On kindle, if you tap the middle of the screen, then click the little Aa up top, you get formatting options. On reflowable formats, you can go to the more tab and uncheck the animation button. On ones that are fixed pages, it should be one of the only options.

Same, have a boox, getting a second boox, and really wish I had a better option to track location across devices. KOReader is a nice reader experience, but browsing books sucks. I use a blend of moon reader and the built in app depending on my mood, but neither feels as good as maple reader on my iPad, and nothing I’ve found can really sync my location.

Linux is used a lot, though, in a lot of high value situations (servers).

I definitely see some clear “this is not their first language” posts, but I don’t see a lot of overlap with the semi-literate stuff. They’ll usually be pretty close with a missed idiom here or there, an uncommon word that’s a slightly odd translation, or have some awkward habit on structure that’s pretty consistent but just not quite right in English.

The “can’t read” people are all over the place, without coherent structure, and just pull random interpretations out of thin air.

Irrelevant. Nobody is arguing that they can’t legally do it.

Just that it’s impossible to do without being a shitbag.

I’d be perfectly fine if say, Walmart existed before the platform did but didn’t sign up and some random person was using their already existing business name in an inappropriate way.

But changing your name 10 years after the guy made his account then thinking you’re entitled to the name is dumb as hell.

I have the Boox Max, and it’s expensive as shit compared to the smaller ereaders, but I use it more than enough to justify. You can’t fit a textbook or coding book on a Kindle (probably the scribe you can now), but you can fit two pages comfortably with the 13.3 inch max.

Android is a huge value add, too. I can’t take it for my phone, but for an ereader, it means I can use multiple library apps and scribd to borrow books to supplement my purchases from whatever platforms.

They’re also the only one with systematic mind/body training instead of just winging it.
