Can they? I don’t really care, I don’t use the corporate chat for personal things. I will act without regard to that, and if it comes to my knowledge that they did read them for the sake of controlling me, I’m going to fucking leave the company after talking to HR, that’s an issue with the boss not the tool.

I do find that useful in a corporate scenario, where if someone leaves the should be able to retrieve all the information shared on those chats, and if you suspect that someone is saying things they really shouldn’t to clients or colleagues, being able to check it is good.

It’s curious how when the pandemic started people around me were super happy with Teams, comparing it to Google Meet and other meeting software, because it was one of the best services that simply worked, and over time they became more angry with it for all the bugs and weird decisions.

I mean, they can vote, and they are a big sector of the voting base, so even if the politicians are younger, there will be enough of them wanting to please the 67+ sector.

Server wise they are practically identical, but the AndroidTV app of jellyfin lags behind quite a bit, the media player is bad, it doesn’t handle well changing subtitles, moving the clip forward and backward… Some of these are fixed by using an external video player, but weirdly enough there have been some movie formats that jellyfin couldn’t handle (the TV app) and emby did.

I just wish that the TV app were identical to the android app with remote functionality, but I’m no android dev so I’ll stay put and wait.

Sure thing. I had some issues with jellyfin transpiling some series, the Android TV app was unable to skip forward for example, and sometimes it stopped reproducing (WiFi issues, sure but they didn’t happen with emby). I only had to pay like 5€ total for the android app, and the server is completely free. I would switch to jellyfin if their streaming app / service were as good, but beiing the only one in the household that cares, having already paid the single payment to emby and being the one that has to fix issues on movie night while my partner is side eyeing me for changing shit again, I won’t bother for a good while (^_^')
