  • Even accepting your numbers,

I see where this is going already… wow

why is the blame entirely on Biden for this

Because he’s the one signing multibillion dollar aid packages with our tax dollars funding a genocide and literally ignoring calls for ceasefire. I mean, the only way you don’t know that is if you’re living under a rock.

Biden is literally the only reason aid has gotten through again after the Israeli blockade, Biden is the only reason Israel is practicing any restraint at all, Biden is the only reason that there’s even a hope of a ceasefire or lasting peace.

You must not know how much influence the US has over Israel. It literally takes one phone call to reign in Israel and Netanyahu to stop their reign genocidal campaign. The US has repeatedly shot down Palestinian voices calling for a peace deal, recognizing Palestinian UN membership, ICC votes on investigating war crimes and trialing Netanyahu. Biden is the only reason why this has dragged on for 7 months. This could have been over on literally any day after Oct 7th. Rafah was supposed to Biden’s “red line” and now that’s being invaded as well. Some job working towards peace. As an example, see how the US reacted (it literally said Israel was on it’s own) when Israel wanted to “retaliate” against Iran for launching attacks on it’s airspace and how Israel piped down against Iran whilst “vowing” to retaliate.

Seems really like you should be blaming the far right government actually carrying out the war, and not the centre-left government an ocean away whose been trying to walk the line between scolding Netanyahu at every turn, and also trying not to piss off the 60% of the country that supports Israel.

Seems like you really should be reading up more on how influential US foreign policy really is instead of clinging to democratic talking points meant to deflect from complicity in this event.

Thank you for chiming in! I love astrophysics and always have been fascinated by it. In another life, perhaps I would have pursued it academically and professionally.

But yes, agreed on all points. I wonder how social media will impact humanity collectively over a few decades in the future and how history will remember this part of the age of information.

There are more pseudo experts and people that talk out of their asses than there are actual experts on the site. Typically actual experts responses aren’t that popular and are nested beneath various comments. The ones on top just “seem” informed.

It’s scary how these comments pass this off in a matter of fact way and promote tons of misinformation.
