They’ve recently been judged to be using reasonable suspicion for arrests. But I think you might’ve implied as much.

12·11 months agoRepublicans had control of the senate when Obama was denied the Supreme Court nomination — Mitch McConnell was the Senate majority leader. So, no, parties weren’t reversed in the Senate, Democrats didn’t have (all) the levers of power at that time.
Gerrymandering would only change a state’s electoral college votes meaningfully in one or two states.
It’s more often an issue of:
- Citizen becomes voter via “motor-votor” registration.
- Later, state sends postcard asking to confirm voter’s address.
- Voter sees postcard, looks like junkmail or fraudulent mail, discards without response.
- State, not checking anything else, drops voter from roll.
