It is highly dependent on where you live. And it’s not density-specific, either. Some cities are sketchier than others. Some rural areas are sketchier than others.

Too many people with too much power are making too much money, so they all work together to keep the cash cow going. It’s become pretty clear that’s what the US has reduced itself to at this point. It’s kinda nakedly obvious this whole thing is a giant fucking Ponzi scheme at this point - I’m fairly certain I’m never getting the social security I’ve payed into for my whole career.

I think he’s a tool, but credit where it’s due: it’s great that he’s supporting the movement, and he does have a huge following.

Don’t do it. Or, if you do, firmly stipulate that you will not work under that person as a direct result of past experiences with that person. If that’s not an option, just say “thanks, but no thanks”.

Holy shit, that would be an incredible change. Frankly, the entire CA grid should be owned by the state and operated as a government agency. PG&E has consistently demonstrated that they are deeply incompetent and criminally negligent in their management of the system. The fact that they’re still allowed to operate as a for-profit concern is absolutely insane.

I really hope Porter gets it - I honestly think she’d be an incredible choice. But realistically, all the Silicon Valley TechBros are probably gonna dump tons of cash into undermining her, because she’s not a corporate sycophant.

It’d be a lot more fucking helpful for the state to take ownership of PG&E and run it as a public agency, as their corporate leadership has manifestly proven themselves to be criminally negligent profiteers. It would be genuinely difficult to do a worse job than they’ve been doing.
