  • Interesting. I still use the 360 controller on my PC because that thing is a tank. Basically indestructible. But my One controllers are garbage. The plastic was so badly formed I got aftermarket grips because it was constantly pinching my hands. It also feels like I could twist it in to pieces with by hand. The Series X controller fails to live up to the 360 but it feels significantly more solid and the pieces at least fit together.

  • 3 to 6 months if such a bitter sweet age. On the one hand, it’s when they start turning in to little people and their personality starts emerging. But it’s also where it starts to get really hard. I’m not sure if it gets easier or you get better at dealing with it, but it gets better.

We’re at 18 months and it’s a really fun and exciting age but I miss the little goofy baby. The last few months before they become mobile and tear your house to shreds are precious.

  • It’s getting better all the time. There’s only a few big missing features left. The biggest being it doesn’t remember posts you visited and no comment editing. I spent the first few weeks on Lemmy switching between Mlem and memmy and they were both pretty broken in complimentary ways. Now, they’re both pretty good but Mlem is more like Apollo. I still keep memmy around for editing posts but that’s the only must have feature missing from Mlem now I think.

I think Mlem will be great in a few more revisions. But Memmy is really good as well. Wef wef is pretty good too although has a lot of the UX issues PWAs slats have. It’s great there’s so many viable options

  • I get exactly what you’re saying but I’m not sure I have a great answer for you. I think it’s all about dopamine. Smoking cannabis reconnects me with that childlike feeling. Also, having a kid really helped me. Seeing the world through her eyes as she experienced childhood is amazing. Before kid I felt like I couldn’t really enjoy anything like I could before without drugs. I’m not sure how much of that is depression and how much is just getting older.
