Thank you.
Rejecting science, no good.
You have the science, good!
Do you have kids or pets that like to play with the toilet paper roll?
If yes, then Under.
If no, then Over.
Trump has attempted to muddy the waters by characterizing RFK Jr. as a “Democrat plant” and “a radical left liberal.” No one should be fooled by this desperate attempt to define RFK Jr. as a liberal, or even a Democrat. His policy stances read more like a resume to be Trump’s running mate. He and third-party candidate, Jill Stein, are parroting views right out of the MAGA/Vladimir Putin playbook and yet, perhaps counterintuitively, they risk dividing the anti-Trump coalition and putting a convicted felon back in power.
Neither third-party candidate has any chance of winning the presidency. But, for a moment, let’s put aside their lack of a path to 270 electoral votes and talk about their agendas.
Jason Call, Green Party Campaign Manager for JillStein2024, pushes back on this article:
@CallForCongress
Corporate media just lies and lies and lies…
@DrJillStein currently is on enough ballots to potentially win 279 electoral college votes
Yet Salon says neither she nor Kennedy have a pathway to 270
Lies and lies and lies

- [16:08] - Introduction and interview with Jaz Brisack and Casey Moore, organizers of Starbucks stores and of Inside Organizer School (IOS)
In this week’s Economic Update, Professor Richard Wolff comments on US megabanks once again taking new off-the-books risks, Elon Musk endorsing right-wing undemocratic census proposals and Fossil Fuel industry executives bribe Trump with campaign donations. In addition, we highlight the many US and global labor unions and workers who have joined the movement in supporting of ending the Israeli military actions in Gaza.
Finally, we Interview with Jaz Brisack and Casey Moore, organizers of Starbucks stores and of Inside Organizer School (IOS), a new organization that trains workers how to unionize their workplaces.
The Inside Organizer School (IOS) is a unique program aimed at making inside organizers as effective as possible in motivating and mobilizing their co- workers. The IOS branches off from traditional union organizer training which addresses staff development, focusing its curriculum instead on developing inside organizers who organize from within the workplace.
‘Saved’
Thanks for reminding us and for letting us know, I will have to make time to set one up for myself!
John Fetterman has the same talking points, Progressive movement left me, when he did Bill Maher Interview.
Some see the Democrats as Republican-lites, that includes all that help them keep their power and follow the status quo.
You are just restating smears and status quo talking points, for people that call out the status quo, Jimmy Dore is also labeled far left and far right…
Biden and most Dems suck, but Trump sucks more.
They do not just ‘suck’ they are genocide enablers and do much more, I suggest to watch or read independent journalists and commentators, so as to see what non status quo people think of them.
The two-party system is a bad joke on the American people; when it comes to Republicans and Democrats remember they are two sides of the same coin. Voting for the lesser of two evils is still a vote for evil and not an answer to our problems. A vote for a Republican or a Democrat will not fix anything and is a wasted vote. - Aaron Russo
I would not count them as ‘left’, they are just Democrats that pander to the working class but when it comes down to it they side with the status quo.
At least that is what I have come to understand, learning from the Berniecrats Era and Justice Democrats failures.
Some learned about this during the Medicare For All events and the DNC Fraud Lawsuit, watching the lawyers talk about the results from the lawsuit.
That is why some have come to understand that the DNC and Democrats are just Republican-lites, their is no left side or party in the US.
You might be correct, but 2016 vibes are all around us…
A blowout wouldn’t look like the landslide reelection of President Ronald Reagan over Democrat Walter Mondale in 1984. But it could mean Trump winning more Electoral College votes than expected by flipping most if not all of the states Biden won in 2020 — and even expanding the map by turning some unexpected states, like Minnesota or Virginia, red.
Emerson College Polling/The Hill surveys from April and a Bloomberg/Morning Consult poll last month both had Trump leading Biden in seven swing states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Biden won each of those states except for North Carolina in 2020 en route to 306 electoral votes.
Candidates need 270 electoral votes to win. Biden won in 2020 with 306; Trump won in 2016 with 304; former President Obama won in 2012 with 332 and in 2008 with 365, winning states like Indiana, Iowa, North Carolina, Florida and Ohio in the process.
In a Quinnipiac survey before the verdict, 6 percent of Trump voters said they’d be less likely to vote for the former president if he was convicted.
A YouGov poll taken after the verdict found that 27 percent of independent voters were less likely to vote for Trump — but 21 percent were made more likely.
An ABC News/Ipsos poll found 50 percent of Americans thought Trump’s guilty verdict was correct, and 49 percent said he should end his presidential campaign as a result.
A presidential forecast model from The Hill/Decision Desk HQ currently predicts Trump has a 56 percent chance of winning the election, and national polling averages put the former president up by around 1 point.
At the same time, wars in Gaza and Ukraine are showing no end in sight, and developments on the international stage could roil things for Biden in the coming months.
Sadly, this can be applied to anyone from the duopoly.
Grassroots is a great thing, but corporations have billions to ‘invest’ in politicians, so they can pass thier laws and more war.
We have legalized bribery in the US, which they call lobbying.
The election of Trump is basically a fucking religion at this point.
Sadly, it seems the duopoly acts as a religion, not just Republicans or Republican-lites.
We must continue to fight the class war and not let the owner class keep dividing us!
Careful on your thinking process, it seems like a ‘slippery slope’, as people say.
Donating to any politicial campaign should not infringe on anyones rights.
This would easly be used against the poiliticial party you stand by as well.
Many examples where this kind of thinking just makes it much worse for the working class.
New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd
I guess, the people that wrote the article, are trying to showcase that the verdict helped Trump instead of hurt him?
Sadly, the working class people fall for the duopoly propaganda all the time, it is not completely thier fault; we are born into this systematically broken system, that is working as it should, for the owner class.
That is why we must continue to be willing to speak to those that do not agree or think like we do!
Bull fucking shit… the whole conversation is exactly what you’ll get when someone wants to do something they know is dubious. Talk to a gambling addict on their way to a casino and you’ll hear echos of these sort of thin justifications.
Not so sure on that, from what I have seen the verdict helped even more than the initial trial news.
Did you see the funding that was possible due to the verdict?
I would be criticial of legacy media, but let me know if you find another source, other than fox news!
Biden’s actions would beg to differ…
America should back Israel generally and that idea is uncontroversial in Washington.
That is true, the duopoly is bought and paid for, AIPAC is really good in investing in politicians that will follow their bidding!
In a column published Saturday, Dowd said after the guilty verdict, she called her brother and her sister — both of whom, she said, are Republicans who had hoped for a Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley victory — to gauge whether Trump’s conviction had been a final straw for them.
“I wasn’t going to vote for Trump,” Maureen Dowd’s sister, Peggy, told her, according to Dowd’s column. “But now I am because I thought this whole thing was a sham.”
“I couldn’t get to sleep,” Dowd recounted her sister telling her. “I was dreaming that I was in jail after a sham court trial. I was thinking that if they arrest me, I’d be out of luck. My father’s dead and two of my brothers are dead. Who else would save me?”
“They want to put him in jail three days before our convention?” Dowd’s sister asked her, according to the column. “The man is surrounded by Secret Service. What will they do? Put him in a cell with four Secret Service guys around him?”
Government censorship will cause TikTok’s services in the US to shut down, which will result in most users moving to another social media platform.
I think most people already use multiple platforms, so the only difference will be the time they put into their new main social media.
