  • Stephen Fry’s reading of Harry Potter is just the best.

On a JK Rowling note. Her Cormoran Strike series (starting with Cuckoo’s Calling) under a different pen name is actually pretty great. It’s a modern day detective series with great personable characters. Very easy to listen to. Despite her crappy views, Rowling’s way of writing is very clean and simple so might fit your brief.

  • Exactly. It’s the same with any diversity and inclusion push at any level. It exists because the current system favours a specific group of people. If we can put down any prejudice and hire people for their work and passion and account for people with less privilege. It exist still because we still do it. But also it exist now to try and right a wrong.

A minister for men is to do what? We had our time in the sun for the entirety of human existence while pushing women down. Men are at risk of losing anything. The shit men are I hope.

  • I can’t. Lots of people my age can. My teenage years there was only one car in the household and it’s an auto. I couldn’t afford to pay for extra lessons to learn manual with their car.

I was into cars and really wanted to get a manual car later on. But just never needed it. Auto cars are just more available so 10+ years later I still can’t drive manual and hasn’t affected my life at all

  • If she’s not done up would she be a 6-7? You need to catch her then!

Seriously though she’s a 10 in your eyes because she’s I assume pretty plus you like who she is as a person. Maybe you haven’t accounted for how she sees you as a person. I guess what I’m saying is we all assume pretty people won’t be into us because we’re not attractive. But by doing so you’re judging things by looks too. If you truly like the person take a shot and get to know her and show her who you are.

Honestly finding love is a grind. Not by pure chance. I tried and failed so much before I met my wife and I owe it to those failures. It made me a better partner but also a way better first few dates.

  • I’m liking it. The comments are nice and the content for the most part have been enjoyable. I do miss larger niche communities in reddit. Some really small communities are so small or dead its hard to get it going.

I don’t spend as much time on lemmy as I did reddit. I think I’ve now spent a bit more of that time spread with instagram and YouTube as well.
